The characters become OP much too fast, other than that, it is a wonderful game solo and as pass and play. A perfect way to spend an afternoon. Great execution with limited resources. I applaud the creator!
Great game but..

Fix Multiplayer, it doesnt work. Out of the past three hours i connected to 1 person, played about ten minutes then the game lost sync.
Needs async multiplayer

Single player mode!

This game is really fun, but it would be awesome if you guys could add a single player mode against AI opponents for when people don't have access to wifi or don't have Game Center. Once again, it's a great game and keep the updates coming!

Fun game but needs to be fixed. Haven't been able to finish a single game because multiplayer loses sync and can't save game progress.

A new Redshift fan
With a solid concept, Hroogar With Friends delivers loads of RPGy board gaming goodness. A game is rather long, so without async online play(reortedly coming in a future update) Hroogar would work best in hotseat mode I would imagine. My only disappointment is the slightly limited variety of events that happen on empty tiles. Nonetheless, I would like to congratulate Hylmes on their work. I was enormously disappointed when I missed out on Dungeons & Dice but am glad I found Hroogar!

This game is very well made - great 16-bit graphics, a good interface that always shows you what you need, and a decent progression system. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes a grind, and takes far too long to do anything really interesting, especially under pass and play. The endless backtracking gets old quickly when sharing, plus it's much too easy to accidentally tap an action for the next player (there is no "cancel" button). The online multiplayer is mostly annoying because hardly anyone is playing. Definitely bring your friends, you won't be auto matched. I think the game world is just too small and deadly for this sort of game, and the turn-based just slows it down too much to be fun.

Please fix sync issue in multi-player. I can't ever finish a game. It's getting very aggravating. Otherwise this is fun.

This game is based on one of the best boardgames ever..TALISMAN!!! I loved the original app by this developer but it was missing multiplayer, now it's even better! I would recommend this to any fan of boardgames and fantasy!! Keep up the great work, glad to see you are still improving this game!!!
