Love my hover camera! I find I usually end up flying in manual mode when I want to take a picture. Some feature requests: - Longer timer (5/10 seconds). - Gyro control for turning (tilt the phone to turn). - Ability to set the height in auto-follow mode. - Being able to change the mode without completely leaving the camera. Some bugs: - If the drone gets out of range it seems to get stuck flying in the last direction it was moving. I had to run after my drone as it flew at full speed toward the river before I was able to reconnect and tell it to stop. Would be nice if disconnecting made the drone stop moving :) - If the battery gets low the fans sometimes don't all get equal power and the drone ends up flying sideways. Would prefer if the drone didn't allow itself to try to fly if it detects unequal power to each fan.

Just annoying to see how the updates are handled. If you don't update the firmware, first, the new app will crash. Guys, do you know apps are potentially updated automatically? Then what??? You go somewhere with your Hover, and it's a brick. Is this true that only Silicon Valley can properly handle software?

When I used it for the first time it did look little complicated, after couple of attempts it all worked the way it was designed. Lots of fun and great product!! I would recommend to everyone.
No control on birds eye mood

After the new update the Birdseye mood does not have any control option.
Critical bug...not fixed (edit: now fixed)

Edit: they listen! the latest (Jun 10) release fixes the issues with manual controller being randomly hidden. I change my rating to 4 stars in appreciation of fast response to customer complaints. I keep my old review below for a record. I reserve one more star for the further potential improvements that i would like to see: 1. there are 8 modes (i.e. Owners, manual, group photos and etc), but there are many overlaps which can be combined and simplified. For example, I don't see any difference between group photo and birds eye. I don't see fundamental reasons to see different modes for photos and videos and etc. Potentially, the simplification would be: Owner's mode Manual / photo mode: this covers group photo and birds eye modes as well. Tracking/video modes: this covers running, bicycle, and orbit mode (button) as well as 360 spin button. Depending on the design and extra buttons, i think it can be only a single mode in fact. 2. Can the manual controls be persistent while tracking is enabled? Or at least can the distance be adjusted? I want to have a way to adjust the position while the recording is in progress. 3. Emergency shut off please -- immediately stopping the rotors. of course, this may damage the drone, but better than hurting someone. ---- The controller buttons are not displaying in most of the modes. Only in owners mode and birds eye mode, the buttons are visible by default. Even in manual mode, the buttons are not showing until I go to settings and select one of the three controllers. Why is the app getting worse and worse on newer releases? I wish I could switch to the older versions that had much better functionalities.

Cannot connect to hover camera

Tried and tried multiple attempts to connect the hover camera over WiFi as directed in the app but cannot go past the connect the hover camera over WiFi setup at initial start of app. Tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, tried forgetting the hover camera in the WiFi setting and reconnecting, nothing works. My phone connects to the hover camera but apparently the app doesn’t think that I am so it keeps asking me to connect to the hover camera.
