Worthless and disgusting customer experience

Hotstar is an app that doesn’t mention about monthly subscription date and charge you without notification. One need to visit web version to deactivate premium. There was no refund of amount for subscription charge monthly even I cancelled on same day charge was done. Pathetic and disgusting experience for me.
Frustrating app

There used to be a continue watching section where I could go and watch what I was watching. Now they took it off. Now every time I watch a show which has about 100 -200 episodes I have to go search for the show find the episode I was watching and then play. There is no indication to show an already watched episode. Too irritating! The show will not resume from where it was stopped earlier but will only show the last episode. There are so many unwanted sections but nothing which is helpful for the user. Whoever is designing the app doesn’t know what the user expects from this app.

Useless in US

We who live in the US pay very high subscription price but still get very less content compared to people in India. Hotstar doesn’t have telecast rights for most of their content like bigg boss and some away Indian cricket series. I am cancelling my subscription. I would rather watch through illegal sources or use VPN than paying these guys and getting mediocre content.

Hotstar, recent episodes won’t cast on tv. When I chrome cast old videos from June and early July, the videos will play properly. However, once I try to cast episodes from late July and August, the videos stop playing and start to load and won’t continue playing. Very disappointed Hotstar, please fix this issue with recent episodes.
App is not good

Allows just a handful of downloaded content, what is downloaded completely and was playable becomes corrupt requiring. Re download/ streaming. App has a long way to go
Poor casting experience

The app has a lot of room for improvement. Casting thru chromecast is very buggy. Desperately need airplay support which is missing. Also need a way to turn off autoplay on landing pages. The resume feature also is a hit & miss.
