Gold is worth it

Seemed like a huge bummer at first to start paying for hooked, but when I saw that a bunch of deals were upgraded to completely free stuff I was surprised. Honestly, worth the $5 if you ask me. Still saving a ton of money since the deals are stuff i’m already buying anyway
Good, needs more restaurants

I love hooked and I’ve been using it for over a year. I recently switched to the gold and I’m loving the free stuff! I gave it 4 stars because I think it could use more restaurants or better deals if I’m paying for it. So far I’ve enjoyed it tho and have definitely gotten my money’s worth!! Highly recommended even if you’re doing the free version, saves me money.

We had such a good thing going! Why did you have to add a monthly subscription??? Will be deleting this app now, basically worthless. The whole point was to save money, not spend more on a monthly subscription. You also can clearly tell they are submitting fake reviews just to make it seem like it’s worth getting.

I have been using hooked for 5 years now and it has saved me so much money through college and grad school! It also helps me choose new places to eat because it almost serves as a menu book. The new hooked gold level is awesome because it gives completely free food, rather than a few bucks off a purchase. I told myself if you eat out once a month, it basically pays for itself since it’s $4.99. Wish I could give 4.5 stars instead of 5, since some of our good deals disappeared this month.
Deleting app since Gold subscription became required

Used to use this app all the time to save money on food. I’m a college student. Now all the deals I usually use require a hooked gold subscription. Why would I pay for a service that’s supposed to save me money? Makes no sense. Will now be deleting the app. Horrible marketing team.
Shouldn’t have to pay. Horrible monetization idea.

The new payment packages will never work for Hooked, i’m a college student that uses this app and there is no way you’ll have “savings” if you’re paying a monthly payment. Deleting the app and i’m sure many others will follow.

this app used to be good and now it’s terrible. they released a new subscription service that’s $5 a month. they have special deals that’s only available for those with a subscription. fine. but then there’s no way to filter out that if you don’t have the sub

I had this in 2019 and used it often to find food for cheap and free deals. Now there are only 3 or 4 deals with the free package and you have to pay an amount per month to get anything good. Disappointed
