Persistent notification to upgrade

Basic functionality is good, but other reviews indicated it was free from pop up reminders to upgrade to premium version. That attracted me to this app. Come to find out, the “premium” pop up notice happens constantly!!!! Incredibly annoying. Maybe I’m missing something.

Not great

Unfortunately very disappointed. I play at a major course in NJ and 5 holes had completely incorrect distances and there’s no place to report feedback. It also doesn’t show basics like distance to a fairway bunker etc right on the watch app like my cheap Bushnell Ghost does. Not worth it.

Phone excellent- Apple Watch total waste

App works great on phone but is a total waste on my watch. I have to carry my phone in my pocket to see distances.

Best Golf GPS for Apple Watch

KYColleen

My Garmin Golf Watch died and instead of buying a new one, I decided to try using an app on my Apple Watch. I downloaded and tried several and this one wins hands down. The yardages are so easy to read and are very accurate. I’m using the free version and I have no complaints.

Good not great

To be clear, this rating reflects the app and it’s functionality. It’s a shame that you can’t use the shot by shot feature from your watch. Don’t see how hard it would be add a prompt to select your club used, lie, etc., as you stand over your ball each shot—aka mimic scoring pop up screen, works beautifully! I’m a minimalist and never going to take my phone out to do this. It’s annoying when you can do all the scoring from the watch for free, but pay for premium and it’s essentially the same functionality. I don’t want to lug my iPhone around in my pocket and not be able to separate from phone/outside world just because I want to get a little advanced analytics.

I play golf occasionally, like 1 to 2 times a year. Some years I don’t get the chance to go out at all. I got this app because it was free (great for my level of commitment to golf) and seemed to be of the better apps. HOWEVER, this company keeps spamming me. In the past 2 weeks I have received 6 emails from them despite me clicking unsubscribe (and seeing the unsubscribe confirmation webpage). Stop emailing me. Stop spamming me.

Golf app Apple Watch

I just paid the premium and played 9 holes for the first time. I’m still learning the app but I think it’s worth it so far. Sometimes I have to tap my watch screen so it will update the yardage to the pin. It keeps score and keeps track of how many putt’s and more. (Like I said, I’m still figuring it out) With your phone, you can keep notes just by touching a button, whether you hit the fairway, went left or right. I think I’m really going to enjoy this app and I like that it keeps score, so I have an overall average and it keeps what I courses I’ve played (I think). I recommend this app and paying for the premium.

It works

Quick and easy to use! Most importantly the gps was spot on. I forget my ranger finder at home and I was able to download the app, put in the golf course and use this app in a couple of minutes.

Total bust!

I bought this App to run on new iPhone, hoping it could match my Garmin S60 watch. Not even close. It’s clumsy to use on the course with entirely too much data to enter. I wish I could get my money back. Sticking with my Garmin.
