No TV Provider

Since I don’t have a TV provider I can’t just pay a monthly or yearly subscription to the History Channel and be able to watch. SAD

I watch History Channel to get away from all the politics and BS in the world. Noooooo can’t do that because I am blasted with Tom Steyer campaign ads!!!!!! I don’t care for him or any other politician to be honest in these times of our loving and for the people government. Please ohhh pretty please with a freakin cherry on top STOP BLASTING US WITH CAMPAIGN ADS EVERY 30 seconds.

We pay for a cable provider so why the horrible, repetitive ads. I don’t care about this dang beagle on facebook who I’ve seen an ad for about 6 times in one episode. Sheesh.

On Wednesday after the episode comes on when can we watch it on app???? Same day??? Or do you have to wait ??? Says it come on history at 10 pm so when can we watch it ??

No longer works after pushing out interactive commercials

The amount of commercials was bad enough, but now since the new interact commercials, the show will not continue after the commercial, but instead gets stuck in a loop. I exit out of the show, go back in and must watch commercials again before show will start playing again. I have about had it. Needs to be a commercial free option. Specially since I already pay for history channel through my cable company. Go ahead, charge me $5/month. I’ll pay it to get rid of all the repetitive commercials. All you show is the same 3 over and over anyway.

Real Treasure Trove

History Channel, for me, contains a real diverse treasure trove of mostly fascinating, very informative & intriguing programs. Only reason I stop shy of 5 stars is due to the irritating & distracting ads....as others have noted. We know that’s about generating the all important revenue, but would be a real service to viewers if ads could be more easily by - passed. Otherwise, content, creativity, film production quality & scope of programming is really great & most enjoyable.

When you try to scroll to the place that you left off, you get about three commercials on average. If you’re unlucky, you get much more. They are not limiting the number of ads relative to the content watched. Seems like they don’t know what they are doing

Commercials for HISTORY app....while using the app?

I get that commercials are a necessary evil, but why play commercials for the app that I am already using? And why play it multiple times sometimes two or three times in a round of 6 commercials every 5 minutes? Whoever is in charge of the advertisement on the app, is just drawing a check. What difference does it make to have a subscription through the tv provider? You still play so many ads.
