Like the idea

I like the idea but the hippo doesn’t scan on all the pages where it’s supposed to. It’s very hard for my 4 year old to get the pages to work. We spend far too much time trying to get the pages to scan.

Made sure my volume was all the way up and sound was on under parental controls. My toddler still enjoys it.

3.5 stars. The AR is impressively forgiving of user error, which is very helpful for littles, but as others have noted it’s not as easy as it could be to get started and learn the ropes. Also the touch interaction is a little difficult too which could be discouraging for young users—sometimes it takes a few taps for the app to register. It’s a great idea and not badly done.

I picked this book up in a resale shop for my grandson only because he loves Mickey Mouse! I had no idea it was an interactive tool to teach young children in a fun way. The app was easy to download and navigate. My grandson and I really enjoyed the graphics and it was so fun to do the activities and very educational! I will definitely purchase more books that uses this app! Such an awesome experience.

I think the concept is very cool, however I had to come read reviews to figure out how to make the app work properly. That was very disappointing when instructions could have been in the app. It turns out your phone cannot be set to silent. Even with the volume up. By the time I figured this out my son had lost all interest in reading. We tried again later and found what interaction is available is fun, however it doesn’t exist on all pages. It would have been much better had the interaction gone directly with the story on each page. We enjoyed the book but I’ll be removing the app from my phone as it isn’t user friendly and since it doesn’t tell the whole story there’s really no point.

Can’t wait to sit with my grandson with this and the Christmas book!! I’ll tell him it a magic book from Santa. It should be fun !

Can’t review software that doesn’t work. IPad Pro with latest updates. Tried several times on WiFi and cellular, always stops at same place.

My 3 year old and I were so excited to try this after we purchased Frozen A Sleepover Party, we downloaded the app and scanned the cover. We only got the app to scan 69 percent. It wouldn’t budge after that... we tried a few times but no luck. We both were disappointed.
