Churchill once said “Never was so much owed by so many to so few"! Take part in this historic turning point during WWII as you make your own choices on the way.
Be wise! The decisions you make will influence which skills you learn, your relationships with other characters and even the story’s outcome.
The narrative is written by the well-known writer Aaron Rosenberg and lovingly edited by Paradox Interactive.
Hearts of Iron: War Stories is part of the Paradox Interactive’s Hearts of Iron franchise, which includes the PC grand strategy video games, music and books.

Well written story that had me emotionally involved. Felt like a movie from the WW2 era. Music and graphics were a good touch. Each decision diverts the story but you aren't constantly peppered with choices so you're basically guiding the story, not every action. At chapter 5 (I think) you're asked if you want to pay the $4.99. I was enjoying the story and don't regret paying, but wished it was much longer. Only 22 chapters. Looks like good replay ability, though. I didn't log in when asked during story, just hit back button and continued on.
I got this app as a preorder bonus for HOI4 thinking that it would be a nice little story I could sink 1-2 hours in, but I was amazed with the atmosphere that was provided. I have played through the story three times now, and was glad to see I could get very different endings. Overall I have used this app for about 10 enjoyable hours and am very impressed.
For the people that don't know this app is a bonus for pre-ordering Hearts of Iron 4. If you have pre-ordered it you don't have to pay half way through the story. I feel like a lot of people here buying this don't know this, wanted to make sure they are aware

HoI is a really neat text-based adventure game that suffers due to the tedious tone of the writing. The game has a nice mechanic where decisions you make affect your in-game stats, which in turn gate the choices that you can and cannot make. It's an affective way to give more weight to your choices, even if it feels like the narrative doesn't often branch significantly. The game's plot on the other hand is saccharine, romantic, and devoid of conflict. You're a farm boy with an innocent sweetheart fighting for King and Country. War is honor, allies rarely die, and the Germans make a habit of getting cut to pieces. Everyone's a charming ally just waiting for a chance to have a crack at the Hun. It's a feel-good adventure story without depth. If you're keen on something a bit more honest, try the Battle of the Somme.
Really loved the story. I kinda wish it was longer but for what it was it was amazing.
If writer change all you to I like a novel, it will get really better
Really fun game I enjoyed it until I found out to continue I had to pay $4. I just Can’t give it 5 stars because you have to pay for it.
