This game is consistently in the #2 spot on twitch, it is the full game from the pc ported to perfection, people who say it's all luck are angry kids who can't stand to lose (ever). There are professional players who consistently achieve legend rank and top 10. There is a skill, and of course any CCG will have the luck element. Play more, learn to read your opponents hand instead of your own, learn all the cards...most of all relax and try to learn something from every game you lose. Thx.

The app is awful, really really awful. Instead of actually making a new, more minimalist client they literally just tried porting a game made for PC to a screen that's less than 15% of the average size of most PC monitors. There's too much fluff, and the game hangs constantly even on a steady internet connection. Oh and that's ignoring the fact the game is woefully Pay 2 Win and entirely RNG dependent. Seriously baffles me how so many people shell out money for this.

I don't write reviews but since whispers of the old gods came out I have experienced more disconnects than ever before. I love hearthstone but this needs to be resolved.

THE CRASH IS HORRENDOUS. (Playing on IPodTouch 5th Gen) Every few minutes i would crash. It's horrible. So far been playing for a day. So i cannot judge on how Hearthstone was before compared to this new update. The gameplay is pretty fun, but it's kind of based on luck. Depending on the cards you get at the beginning throughout the end can determine the entire game play.

The game is fun. And addictive. No question about that. But with tens of thousands of users online at any given time, you'd think the devs could implement a matching system that doesn't put rank beginners up against players who have half the best cards in the game (and are out to get the other half by gold farming newbies to extinction). I think there are actually people deliberately hanging out at a low level of ranked play specifically so they can steamroll newcomers. Cool, well, watch your player base gradually fade into oblivion! Also, for people who are looking for a strongly skill-based game, look elsewhere. Hearthstone involves significant skill, but it's probably 50/50 luck/skill at best. EDIT: came back after standard play was introduced and these problems are even more pronounced than before. The game offers new players absolutely ZERO opportunity to make headway starting out unless the spend hundreds of dollars. Waste of time for anyone who hasn't been there since beta.
