Love

My son was having trouble gaining weight. And I was making trips to the doctors office weekly to check on his weight and food intake. This gives me the option to manage his weight and track feeding from home. I then can report to the doctor on the results. The scale seems to be very accurate, Which is most important to me!

Absolutely LOVE this app

Glamorgrl3

As a first time mother, this app has become my go-to. I purchased the scale thinking it would be neat, but little did I realize the app would become such a huge part of my day. The hospital sends you home with a piece of paper to record nursing sessions and diapers; this makes so much more sense! I love the daily pictures and slideshow option, and how the nursing timer lets you know which side you last nursed on. As a sucker for data collecting, I truly love being able to look back at the bar graphs for recorded sleep and eating patterns. You begin to notice their natural schedule forming. The daily summary for totals is informative, but the timer since the last sleep/feeding have become what I live by! At the moment my son can’t be awake much longer than 1.5 hours at a time and I feed him every 3 hours... I can briefly glance at the summary to determine if it’s nap time or feeding time. The only things I wish could improve: • Sleep totals overnight should be split into the corresponding day. For example, if I record a sleep that began at 9:30 pm Tuesday and ended at 7:30 am Wednesday morning, those 10 hours count towards the total for just Tuesday...instead of splitting the sleep total into 2.5 hrs for Tuesday and 7.5 hours for Wednesday. • I want to print the daily schedule or at least view it on my laptop. I tried to export my data and it turns it into an excel spreadsheet with everything ever recorded. I’m usually only interested in comparing sleep from previous weeks. • slightly less important, but still an improvement... the pictures I upload are not all squares. I wish I could zoom out or fix them after uploading so they aren’t cut off during the slideshow.

No longer syncs

My app has stopped syncing! When my husband enters in a diaper change or feeding, it will not update on my app. I’ll get a notification about what my husband input, but my app will only have what I input. It is really frustrating.

Too many issues

I switched from Sprout to Hatch Baby because it was supposed to have an Alexa skill. That was a mistake because it won’t let me log in on Alexa to be able to use the skill - keeps giving me an error. Also the BIGGEST function doesn’t work. My husband and I need to be able to start and stop timers that the other has set. I’ll set that he’s fallen asleep and when my husband goes to get him up he can’t access the timer I set to mark that he’s awake. I recommend the Sprout app- it has everything this one does plus it actually works.

Great for Tracking!

MissBee0691

My husband and I have used this app daily since our daughter was born to track diapers, feedings and sleep. It really helped us to discover her schedule and ensure she was getting enough to eat. With that being said, now that she’s almost three month, we use it mainly as her sleep has changed and her feedings are getting more predictable. I would have given it 5 stars but it’s missing other important needs for a growing baby, like tracking tummy time, solid foods, medications etc. These would be really helpful additions.

Echo

I downloaded this specifically to use with my Amazon Echo and I continue to get an error when I try to link the account. Disappointing.

Not bad

Jenster789

Not bad for a free app and is pretty much on par with the more expensive apps you have to pay for. My biggest complaint is when you look at the schedule you can only see an overview of a few hours at a time and need to scroll. It would be nice if patterns were identified or if you could easily see 24 hours at a time on the chart.

Excellent app

Works great even if you don’t have a hatch table. Great for tracking and very easy to use!

Through sleep deprivation and tired nights...

Hatch Baby is there for my wife and I. Considering how much we’re keen on keeping up with every detail of our baby, Hatch helps us do just that. After reading about some sync issues, I was slightly apprehensive that it would be AS good as I would like it to be, though being a software engineer myself, I was really pleased to see the developers respond to those concerns. Since using it for the past week, I’ve noticed no issues like that myself, and feel confident that if any issues were to come up they would be addressed. The one suggestion I would have is to make it easier to view daily summaries of the past few days, at least 3, but I don’t see a need to stretch that anymore than the past 5. I really enjoy the daily summary view, especially when interacting with my pediatrician, but having to sort out the sometimes confusing bar graph to determine the past X number of feeds / diapers in the past few days is a bit more difficult than I’d like it to be. Looking forward to continue using this application through the first few years of my babies life!
