Great finds

We are traveling across country and need way station stops between longer term campground stays. Harvest Hosts sites that we have stopped at thus far have all been convenient, helpful, with great wines and staff. Now that we are in the east, they are plentiful and usually with short drives between them as we make our way to the next campground.

Friendly Farm Folks

We were greeted by our host & sons (8 & 1-1/2) & parked in time to watch them herd 100+ cows (& 1 donkey) to the grass field across the road. These are truly grass fed cows. A nanny goat & her kids entertained us too. We were treated to a beautiful sunset then fireworks, a Labor Day celebration. We purchased a steak, cheese & a cantaloupe.

Great concept

This is so cool. Our farmers are hurting and they have such beautiful lands. This lets you get to enjoy the land, pay the farmers as you purchase their products and enjoy all of it for a price that is probably less than you’d pay for a camp site. Love it!

Great places

Always fun to spend nights at Harvest Host stops. We have stayed at wineries, museums, fruit farms, breweries and animal farms all across the country. Never had a bad visit. Worth belonging to Harvest Host.

Our very first Harvest “Hosts”

Could not have improved upon this new experience in any way. The tranquility of the setting, the quality of the wine, and the conviviality of Mike and Joanne combined for a truly delightful stay!

Great location and very peaceful. Here on a Monday but still lots to see and walk. Neat store with fresh baked goods. Arron met us at the store and showed us where to park. 42ft towing suv not problem at all. Ironically my coach is named Rose as is the family who owns the red apple farm. My first harvest host visit and know this, I’ll do HH again. Jay

Joe Huber’s Restaurant and Farm

Lynette Armour

What a great stay. The grounds are immaculate. The people that work their are so friendly. We ate at the restaurant and it was awesome! These are great grounds to walk around on. Our 5th wheel faced a small lake with lots of green grass. Sat and Sunday’s they have music on the patio. Small market for extra goodies and a 50’s diner for ice cream treats! You can’t go wrong staying there. We will def go back as it’s so peaceful. Huber’s winery and distillery is just around the corner...no RV parking there. They have a great farmers market. Wines and whiskey are the best we’ve found so far! Both are a must to see when in the area. Thank you for a great stay!!
