Leaves useless and hard to clear notifications

For some reason i can't understand, iOS hangouts uses a "red number" notification for *past* calls, and then forces you to tap into the call's details to clear it. Sheer ux insanity.

Well I personally love this app it’s so good on computers and stuff. I love to use it when my dad is out of town I get to check up on him and see how he’s doing.??the only thing is that not most people know about it so every new friend I get ill have to tell them about it and stuff. It would be a longer proses but other than that it’s awesome!! I love it ?

When I text her, often hangouts has this glitch, when I text her, and I don't get her message back. And only when I text her again after about an hour at the least, trying to get a reply; the message that SHOULD'VE gotten to me in the first place, finally does. Also, sometimes my messages don't send to her, only if I close the app and start it again after about 10 or so minutes, actually send and say "now" and the bottom of my texts.

Google hangouts allows me to be able to call, text and FaceTime people without needing a phone number! (You don't need to use a google email you can create an account with mail that's 100% phone number free and use in in hangouts) allowing me to be able to text all the boys my parents don't let me text in regular texting.
