I just installed this app. So far I really like it. Good features. Band plan (for people like me with bad memories), solar data, DX cluster, a link to QRZ database to quickly lookup call signs...etc. A pretty good app if you don't have access to a computer while operating.
Bought this just for the menu for the ft- 817 and initially had a few prblems with it not loading well N crashing contacted the company n got fix easily. They have since added a bucket load of extras n really made this a great program ive upgraded to an iphone 4 and with the new processor it load immediatly. No problems since the first so with up grades what ever problem i had has been fixed. Highly reccomend this app good response to my problem so good support also
It seems as though they've just linked some web pages together for this app. Nothing has been formatted for the iPhone, and you have to scroll around a lot to view the data. You cannot expand, or zoom in or out on the pages either. Some of the print is very difficult to read. It's a neat idea, but it is not implemented very well.
The app is just a menu with web links that are not formatted for the iPhone. Not worth &1.99.
It has a ton of easily accessible information that you get to take with you on your i-device. It helped me decide to purchase an FT-817ND. I hope they write one for the Alinco DX-SR8, too!
US Repeaters section doesn't work; that web site has gone away. EZ Satellites doesn't work as showen above, that web site will give anonymous users a listing of date, time, altitude, and azimuth for a given satellite but not graphics. The call book section has been unreliable; sometimes it reads 404 not found and sometimes it will return the data. The UTC time at the top is helpful.
