Great game, easy to get lost in it

HuManaT

The game starts off a bit slow, but stick with it because it opens up into one of the better and more intricate team mmo games I’ve ever played. Discord is a must, to communicate with whatever corp you eventually get into, but that shouldn’t be a barrier to entry.

Update - Long term game NOT designed for Payers

Zwingli87*451

I have been looking for a longterm game as I have gotten fed up with PVZ2, and EA’s constant need to push you towards in-app purchases. Yes, I realize Popcap is still running that game. Regardless, Hades’ Star is a breath of fresh air. It is challenging, and it never pushes you towards purchases. In fact, they make it difficult to almost impossible to speed up the game. I have actually spent money with them just as a type of developer fee, and hopefully others will do the same. Solid, structured game play that you can easily do in your down time and still have a life. Unless they change the game play, I will be here for the next few years (if not longer). Update - I have been playing this game for several months now, and if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. I can’t remember what an in game Ad looks like. There is zero push to spend money. I have been one to almost never spend money on phone games, yet, when not pushed and the game is worthwhile, I spend money. Basically, I want to keep the developers happy and creating updates. Great game with long term play style. You can merely PVE or PVP or both (has a little for everyone). There is not a single currency in the game that you can not find in the game (ie, you NEVER have to pay to play). Hope you give it a shot!

That one man eating cheese

It’s a pretty good game over all but it could use some more mechanics and some more goals to be set besides expansion like you could activate an invasion or something.

Can’t take things away

Jerry_dingleberry

Hey - basic rule of commerce, when I buy something, in this case, with hard earned credits that take A LOT OF TIME (time=money), you don’t just get to take them away in your updates. Come on. I’ve been playing for almost two years and I call bull. It takes weeks to get some of these modules upgraded and then you change how they work (e.g. destiny). Basic rule is that you should be able to add things, but not delete things. You model the economy, stick by its rules.

Fun if you stick with it

Wildrunar

I realized I’ve been playing for over two years, so there must be something worthwhile about it. My chief complaint is the exponential increase in cost for exploration and upgrades. My next scanning station will cost a million credits but I’m pretty well maxxed at 600K. I’m not even sure I could get to a million by upgrading all my planets, but I guess I’ll have to try. the only way to make progress is to grind... or pay for it, which I suppose was the idea all along

Fun but one annoyance

Rebelord01

The game always plays at a constant rate allowing you to enjoy your self and even in later game automate earning money, definitely worth your time. My one annoyance which drives me CRAZY is that i cant flip my iPad on its side to play. I really wish they would fix this as i do most playing with my iPad and i don't exactly want to balance it on something in order to play

Progress gone overnight.

Firebird7268

The game is great. I spent hours in hades star and really enjoyed it! Why the low number of stars? I went into the game a couple weeks ago and all my progress was gone. Just gone. The game started me at the tutorial and everything I worked for was gone. An amazing game but know that whatever you do could be gone overnight.

good game

Great game, couple of recommendations

AggressiveShrimp

I have been playing this game for more than 2 years now and can confidently say there is nothing wrong with this game, however I do think it could be improved by 3 things. First, more types of ships that you have to research such as a destroyer that has high damage but low health and an carrier ship than can hold maybe 2 transports or miners in it. Second, more corporation customization. I personally think that, on top of the current system, officers should be able to customize who the white star payouts benefit the most. For an example, in a 5 v 5 white star, an officer sets the payout to be 30% for themselves, 20% for 2 senior members, and 15% for the last 2 normal members. However, this should be approved by either the senior officer or the white star participants. This would lead to corporations competing for players by raising their payout on white stars, Third and finally, a corporation bank account that takes a very small tax on blue stars and/or white stars and/or researching artifacts. This bank account would pay for part of the cost lost ships is white stars. It could also be used to issue “tax refunds” based on the influence gained since the tax was taken, level of the player, rank of the player, number of blue star wins, and amount of tax paid in originally.

Great Game

Maug M

This is a great game. It is a strategy game and not a, “Monty Hall,” fast paced, kill everything you see, game. It takes patience, planning, and working with others. Be prepared to take time to become good at this game. You will be rewarded! Oh . . . Have fun!
