Nice idea but ultimately useless

mightystassen

The data aggregator is good and the concept would be great if there were more structured reports and a all in one view for all data over time. Ultimately a useless indulgent app that intrudes on privacy a whole lot without having much benefit.

It’s killing my battery

Jjpereira

After I purchased Pro and the places Feature was enabled it seems to be killing my battery, 32% in the last 7 days.

Becoming the go-to activity store

I’ve been on and off using gyroscope for about two years now. And, it’s improved tons. Native tracking (available for pro users for a while) is simply eye catching (even in its currently beta form) and no significant impact on battery. While I often check daily views with heart rates, zones, and activities, the “helix” view has become my favorite (there’s also a web interface for reports) for consolidating all data. Integrations have also been getting better. I’m also a daily Garmin connect user for details and it’s good to see gyroscope is now able to connect to Garmin (though it’s limited now). Most of the glitches; especially quite often duplicate activities, seem to be caused by Apple health. Not sure how the team can approach that but it’s an annoying one for sure. This app has a tremendous potential!

Great visualizations

Finally an app which beautifully visualized HealthKit data

Serious tracking

Constantly improving. Great community. Developer is focused on our experience.

Disappointed

ckosel

Honestly I’m not feeling the love here. First of all, the sleep data is a disaster. AutoSleep recorded 6 hrs and 35 minutes sleep last night. Dashboard on Gyroscope website shows I got .5 hours sleep. Sleep analytics show I got 4 hours sleep while AutoSleep, which generated the data, accurately shows 6 hours and 35 minutes. It also shows an astonishing average of 4 hours sleep each night which is wildly inaccurate and shows my average bedtime as 1:46 am which again is not even close to accurate. I’m very sorry to have paid anything for such poor engineering. Mostly just visual fluff here.

Bad update?

klikkzero

Was there a bug in the last update that drains your battery? Gyroscope is draining more than 70% of my battery in past 24 hours and my phone dies very fast since ~a week ago. Please check!!

Updates continue to Impress

It's amazing. And only continuing to get impressively better. Thanks dudes for making this app. Pumped to hit some goals in 2018!

Must Have for Quantified Self

I've been wanting an app and website like this for years. It collects all my personal data in one place and displays it on a beautiful collection of visualizations, including running and cycling running workouts. The new Places Beta is rapidly improving and has easily replaced Moves as my location tracking service. I use it multiple times per day to check out the stats for the day and the new Helix theme is a huge update. The Pro Goals feature has also been a big help helping me track how often I bike commute and motivating me to ride more in the winter. Gyroscope is quickly becomes my go-to app for anything that I track.

Useful, fun, and beautiful

nshellab

What's more fun than reviewing your health and productivity data from your Fitbit, rescuetime, phone, etc? Letting Gyroscope pull it together and present it in a series of beautiful visualizations, so you can really see patterns and trends. The pace of innovation has accelerated and it seems nearly every day there is a new feature to explore. Hugely responsive to requests and inquiries. The phone app is my go-to all day, but the web version has additional ways of looking at things that I spend time with on weekends. Very cool!
