I hate to change apps, but my old favorite (you know the one I'm talking about) doesn't work with Apple watch. I tried about 6 before settling on gTasks. There are plenty of robust task-planning apps that offer Apple watch support, but I didn't find any of them to be intuitive until this one. Gtasks tics every box but one: I want a complication!
syncing issues off and on

once in a while when I make updates on the tasks on desktop via google calendar tasks, app won’t sync in the updates. found out acct failed under Settigns, went there reconnect acct, still same issue, repeat multiple times still same issue. delete app and re-login creates duplicate tasks and lists. quite annoying and time wasting. :(

Only reason I have it 4 was because for a while the tasks were not syncing to my Gmail calendar even though the settings said it was. Now it seems back to normal.

Jim's fix didn't work for me. I deleted all my installations, then reinstalled iPhone copy. Synced ok, but it was all out of date, likely since it hasn't synced for several months. Went thru and got it up to date, pausing after each task update so it could sync. Closed Gtasks, restarted it, checked sync status, and it had failed. Never even got to another device. I'm trying to decide between Todiost and TickTick. I liked Gtasks so much when it worked :( . I still use Gtasks Pro daily, but not happily. As a stand-alone app it handles my scheduling, but ONLY on my iPhone. It's best feature used to be that it synched using Google Tasks; thus I could use it on my iPhone, my iPad, my Mac, and even keep track from non-Apple devices via Google. A while back it seems Google changed their interface and thus broke Gtasks. A month ago an update claimed to fix issues with sync but it hasn't synced consistently since. So I use of it as an iPhone app only. The worst thing is that I reported the problem twice but they have never responded. I assume that means they know that sync doesn't work, probably can't fix it, and aren't going to say anything about it. Certainly aren't going to help an individual customer find a circumvention to the problem. Definitely no support or customer service!

We’re an Apple family. Sadly Apple has neglected its mail, calendar, and tasks apps. They work, but lack excitement. I’m in a Google World and this app integrates with gmail. Google's getting better, but their integration and user experience still doesn’t approach ‘art.’
