Easy to use calendar

Love the ease of using the Google calendar ... color coding events makes for quick notice of appointments or important dates, birthdays and due dates! Referencing past appointments is simple and future dates will notify you in advance so you don’t forget. I still keep a full paper calendar but this calendar is so handy, a ready reference besides being colorful based on event color codes. Try it! It’s simple to use, handy and helpful!

Fix the widget!!!

My FAVORITE part about the google calendar was the widget and being able to see today and tomorrow. After an update about a month ago, that isn’t an option anymore. Please, please, PLEASE fix this!!!!

I love it! My favorite part is how you can invite others to events!

Good

This has been a great shared calendar that I have used to schedule appointments and everyone that needs to, can see where each other is scheduled to be. Unfortunately, I just have not been able to figure out how to search through previous year appointments

Was, now isn’t

Google Calendar used to be an awesome app, a 5 Star app. In recent months it has many problems, including frequently lost data as well as a severe degradation of the Search function. I no longer recommend Google Calendar.

Search limitations

Not sure how far back the search looks, but it would be nice if it looked farther back. Sometimes when I search it does not find an item on the calendar on the app, so I open the calendar in safari to find it with no problem. Also, sometimes while trying to add a location on an item that I am adding does not find it, so again I go to safari and it works on the calendar there.

Disappointing new “feature”

We are big fans of Google products, but I recently discovered that Google Calendar is deleting anything that is more than 3 years old. Big Deal, you say, so what? Why do you need old stuff? We have health issues, some minor and some very major, Big League important. Google used to have a product called Google Health that was used to compile a history of your illnesses, surgeries, treatments, prescriptions, etc. They apparently couldn’t find a way to monetize it, so, Poof, it went away, and they sloughed everybody off to join Microsoft Health Vault. It, too, has gone away. Google Calendar is where we turned next to keep track of our appointments, decisions, and by using the Notes portion of the Event, we can add questions to be asked of our doctors and record their answers, when to refill medicines. By keeping track of ALL of our health visits, we had documentation for our tax filings. So, if you need something only for Tomorrow, use Google Calendar. If you want to review past events, then Calendar is not the tool you need.

Planning future events.

Smarter than the average user.

Google calendar is a great organization tool. But creating future events and reminders would be much easier if the app had a ‘go to’ date function especially for events more than a year away.
