Please give me a name!!

KpopBryan

Everything about the google assistant is great. As a die hard apple user I recently switched to android for no other reason than the want to use the Google assistant all the time. Directions, and simply ease of use including responding the first time even when playing music to ok Google or hey Google. The feedback and analytics have really improved the conversations with the Google assistant. But I feel if we could give the assistant a name instead of Google that both the AI and the users would be closer to the true assistant we as young science fiction fans dream’t of. Ok google turn on the lights, check. Ok Google play Hall & Oates from YouTube Music on Nest Speaker, check. But ok Shirley make me a prime rib dinner, mid rare with a loaded baked potato, side of broccoli and Texas toast, Still waiting. But until then ok Google good morning.

I love having a personal assistant that responds to so many needs; like providing a new recipe to answering questions and settiing timers and reminders. No more post-a-notes!

Inconsistent

Boujamoo

I enjoy the app, but at times it doesn’t record words correctly. I guess you could say that there is a lack of understanding.

Amazon Alexa far exceeds the Google/ Nest home.

Frustrating

Hitlength

The worst part is not being able to delete their stupid default “Routines”. Or at least give me the ability to disable them and hide them from view. Really annoying having to go in to each one and remove all the actions just to make them obsolete. Yet I still have them cluttering up the interface. It’s also very frustrating to need so many different Google apps. Why do I need Home and Assistant just to get some smart plugs to turn on and off. And then I need the Nest App to control the thermostat. What a clunky way to make things “smart”. Google needs to streamline all this for iPhone users. Of course, this problem would easily be solved if Apple wasn’t so stingy with its licensing, allowing for more third party hardware folks to incorporate HomeKit.

Keeps disconnecting from my WiFi

Poplifedc

It is annoying that one of my 3 Nest mini’s disconnects from my WiFi or can’t find it at least 4 times a week. Why does it keep dropping so often?
