LifeHacker: "The app is responsive, nice to look at, allows you to set daily reminders, and just works better than the others."
Achieve your goals by defining the regular activity that will get you closer to them and then tracking it. Whether it's "Write a Book" by "Spend 1 hour writing every day" or "Get Fit" by "Visit the gym 3 times a week", simply defining the actions and watching your progress will help you get there.
Once you've defined your goal, you use Goal Streaks to track the days you work on it. Build up a "streak" by hitting the schedule you define and then try to make the streak as long as possible. Use the daily notification to remind yourself to stay on track.
Goal Streaks lets you:
* Add as many goals as you like
* Review all your goals in a single dashboard view (along with the previous week of activity)
* Tap on a date to mark that day 'done'
* View your activity in a full-screen calendar view (smoothly scrolling from month to month)
* Tap and hold on a date to add a note
* Set your target streak length
* Optionally, set a daily reminder for each goal at a time you choose
This app is not updated to fit at the screen of Iphone x or later. And the developer may not have plan to do it.
Been using this app for over a year and it’s helped me maintain consistency with working out, as well as saving money. I love keeping a streak and when I break a streak I get back on it! Anyone who is a goal setter were trying to create a habit NEEDS this!
This is a great app and the best looking among similar apps, but the fact that it hasn’t been updated in years means that it hasn’t been updated for newer iPhones with larger displays. The black bars at top and bottom detract from the clean look, and it’s a shame that the developer hasn’t fixed it after all this time.
Generally a nice app, but crashes like crazy since I updated to iOS 10. No longer useable.
Does not sync and doesn't have a time to start and to end a goal. Or would you guys think a goal is forever?
(Update: as promised, lowered my rating to three stats bc sync is still unavailable.) As so many others have said, this app works well and does what it's designed to do. The UI is elegant and attractive. Super-easy to use. But the promised update that will include sync has yet to appear. It's been months. The developer's other major app (Focus Time) got syncing a while ago now. I'm giving four stars for now but will downgrade to three if sync isn't included in an update by the end of the summer 2014.
It's perfect for me. My brain works by actually doing hands-on stuff and having to check a day off whenever I reach a goal is part of the satisfaction that I was able to achieve something. Great app!
The sidebar doesn't look good on portait mode (iPad). The app hasn't be updated in a long time!
