So, I plan to use this app for videos that need to look “old” to a degree, as well as others, for aesthetic purposes (obviously I normally import from Photos, mind you). However, when it blacked out this morning and wouldn’t do much anything, I decided to try and re-download it. Easy enough fix, yes? Turns out, it DID grant me access again, but it displayed a new behavior this time around; - it forced me to default to the native camera. When I looked at it in settings, it appeared unable to see the Photos App, which appeared to be why it was behaving like this. Repeatedly re-downloading has since been shy to leave any mark beyond that. I will improve rating if this is addressed. Update: I figured something out. I had been away from the app for a while at the time I first wrote this review so you can thank forgetfulness for what happened. Turns out I had forgotten about that little button thingy that shows your most recent photo or video in the bottom corner. If you tap that upon redownloading it will request access to the photos app again. It couldn’t see the photos app because I had forgot about that button and therefore didn’t see it, so that was why I’d had that experience. On a side note, you should probably just have the app request for access to the photos app after downloading without having to press that button, or at least give a tutorial for newer users that highlights the button whilst making everything else darker in case they don’t see it before that. All-in-all I solved it all just by noticing that button again.
