basic chat

This is a very basic chat application.

Can’t sign in with GitLab

bekoehn

So I created my account on the web by signing in with GitLab, but this app doesn’t support signing in with GitLab. So I guess I can’t use it at all, which merits a one-star review.

No iPhone X support

mxcl

Which means no update in over a year. Will update review if they update the app.

Works great

stockboy39

I’m not sure why everyone is complaining. This works perfectly for what I need it for— chatting on gitter & searching communities/messages. It is not buggy, and feels like the perfect companion to the desktop or web app. Definitely recommend

Can’t log in with GitLab

caseyandgina

App was never updated to support logging in with GitLab, which defeats the point.

A bad experience on iOS

thavlik993

I love Gitter on desktop, but this is inexcusable. There’s no reason why this should letterbox on the iPhone X. The company clearly does not put attention into this mobile client, as per the other reviews. It’s unfortunate because gitter is a great service.

Nearly Unusable for Real Communication

JMob86

The app doesn’t expose usernames which are the only way to @ reply someone. Can’t delete or edit messages either. Other than basic chatting its basically worthless. Uninstalled.

Don’t even try it on IOS

EmirAyral

I actually downloaded this app on my iPhone like 10 mins ago to check a community group of something. I deleted the app after I used for a couple minutes. Screen size is small as iPhone 3. It’s really not convenient to use. I don’t even think that their devs care about customer’s opinions.

Unsupported trash. Avoid at all costs.

AppReviewNickname

This app has been abandoned by the devs and shouldn’t even be available to download anymore. It isn’t even a native app anyway, just a website wrapped in an app. Might as well just use the website directly.

Terrible app for mobile and desktop

octopus jones

Great community and potential for a great app too but this doesn't even work half the time. The desktop version is completely broken.
