I love using GiftAMeal to give back when I’m going out to eat anyway! My favorite spots to use it are Gioia’s, Three Kings, and Fort Taco.

I was eating at one of my favorite new restaurants in St. Louis, The Chocolate Pig, and my waiter mentioned that they had recently partnered with this startup called GiftAMeal where anyone at the restaurant could give a meal to someone in need in St. Louis for free. So I decided to check out the app and was really impressed that it only took like 10 seconds to donate a meal. What an ingenious way to try to fight hunger. I saw that there were a bunch of my favorite restaurants on the app as well so I will definitely be using GiftAMeal the next time I go!

I’ve been using the app a long time and have never been able to give back as much as I do now. While I love volunteering, work makes it very hard to find time. With GiftAMeal, I have been able to help support food banks and shelters in my neighborhood give to those in need by simply checking into restaurants on my lunch breaks. I haven’t experienced any major bugs or issues since downloading the app. Also, I reached out with a couple questions and the team got back to me really quickly. It seems like they really care about their social mission. I would encourage everyone to download and start giving back. It’s really easy to use.

Honestly, this app is such a brilliant way to fight hunger while doing something you probably already do at restauarants - taking a picture of your food! I find it neat that I can now make an impact on my community by simply taking a picture of my food. Also, it’s a great way to find local restaurants that you might not know about and explore your local food scene!

Got this app because I heard about it from a friend. Super easy to use and so gratifying!! Love the idea and so great that they’re turning photos into meals for people in need. They have some of my favorite restaurants like soeul taco and three kings too

Love taking pictures of my food, so why not help out somebody in need while I’m snapping my food? Would love to see a future feature that could add functionality into a photo sharing social media application (i.e. Instagram, VSCO, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat) with the GiftAMeal logo as a sticker/filter!

Always crashes, elementary app design. Feels like something made in an app design 101 class
