The only app I’ve ever rated

This is legit the only app I’ve ever taken the time to give a review for—it saves me money by telling me exactly where the cheapest gas is around me. Users can update the prices for each station and it tells you how long ago the price was updated. It was a literal life- and job-saver when my state had a huge gas shortage several months ago.

Hot pile of garbage. Never has correct prices and is usually 20 cents or more off. Do not use this app. It is worthless and never works. Waste of time.
major flaw with Favorites

Got rid of these old iPads - app has been working on newer iPad. What. My gripe is now the Valero Pay ad covers a portion of the lis and map and never goes away. version 5.7.0 on iPad 11.1.2 and iPad3 9.3.5 When bringing up My Favorites, I cannot dismiss the gas station detail that obscures half the map. I have tried everything, but it went away twice. What do I do to get rid of that? Could not add Favorite after inadvertently deleting it. I added that Favorite back with my android. Don’t try to keep improving the app that was great. It breaks every time you do that.
Fails at what it was originally created for

This app is great in theory, but support is crap and other users screw things up. This app was created for showing gas prices, but prices are wrong ALL THE TIME! I have reported other users for posting, clearly, incorrect prices, but the same users continue to do it. I don’t know for sure what the motive is to report (incorrect) prices, but I suspect it is to get the gas card entries. It is as if they open the app, push confirm, and submit. They don’t even look at the prices. I don’t even need to be at the location to know the price because they are posted in the Shell and Speedway apps, but I post the prices daily in Gas Buddy to help others who may not be able to juggle all these apps to figure out their options. Also, other users are leaving reviews in the station details complaining about incorrect prices. I regularly see prices that are older than what I posted continuing to show for stations. Something is screwy with their reporting process and this is likely part of why incorrect prices are reported because users hit the confirm button for prices and they are confirming old prices that are incorrect. I sent an email out to get station details changed for a station and it took over a month to get a reply. I tried changing them through the app, but after 3 months of almost daily putting in the new details, emailing was all I thought to try, but like I said it took over a month to get anything done. Do they have users who can change things for them who live locally? I could easily do that if they allowed it.

The ruined a once great app by making it over complicated, and ask for too much personal data. There are better gas apps out there. Period. Keep it simple guys.
