Aww. So disappointed, the game looks and feels amazing but never as good as GOF2. This new game is just a better way to empty wallets slowly penny by penny. I pay for couple of extensions on GOF2, but you can’t transfer the extensions ( not even to GOF2.HD ); and the app doesn’t work with the latest IOS version :( . So why will I pay for it again. NO WAY. PLEASE: update GOF2.

Whereas GOF2 was a wonderful world that seemed open ended (a great illusion) and imaginative, one where you could slowly build and enhance your ships and base, this is just a lowly freemium arcade game, one among thousands. Shame on them for despoiling the GOF brand just to get a few extra downloads by unaware users.

Short version: Good game, good graphics, you are strongly encouraged by the game to purchase a ship to be effective early. Multiple purchases, generally speaking, aren’t necessary. Really needs MFi Support as GOF2 already has.

This is a poor follow up to the great game that was Galaxy of Fire 2. This lacks the free roam, trade and true pirate feeling that GOF2 had.

To anyone who had GOF and GOF2, I'm talking you now DO NOT BUY this game. If you have to get it, prepare yourself for good graphics and absolutely crap gameplay. Also, top up your account, because the only way to get the cool stuff is buy paying. To anyone who hasn't played any of the GOFs, if you want an amazing game from Fishlabs, get yourself Galaxy on fire 2HD. Don't even try GOF3.

Galaxy on Fire 1-2 were the best games I have ever played on mobile. They had a great campaign and a great looting system. When i saw Galaxy on Fire 3, I was excited. The game is so different that it isn't even fun. Id rather pay the 10$ or buy the dlc for a free roaming rpg game than have these short missions. The game isn't worth playing. If anything, i’ll play the other Galaxy on Fire games

Had lots of potential but failed

GOF2 was by far my favorite noble game and when I heard a 3rd was coming out I was excited since they had so much potential. Unfortunately I played the 3rd and it sucked. All microtransactions and it was very repetitive. GOF2 is a completely different game compared to GOF3. There is no good gameplay in GOf3, I hope they make another one exactly like GOF2.

The Galaxy On Fire series was definitely one of my favorite games to play due to the free roam concept, allowing the play to do as they please and progress how they pleased. Sadly the developers became too interested with charging to progress in the game and strayed away from the original concept, apologies to the dying series.

So I’ve played and beaten all of GOF 2, extra content included, and was really looking forward to playing GOF 3, still am. It’s a great game in and of itself but it’s not complete yet and for the foreseeable future it will remain that way. Love just want to play more of the game and see what in store for the rest of the game.
