Excellent App

HDPARARIGGER

I have been using other CAD programs for a little while and got used to how a few of them worked. I like the fact that as a hobbiest I don’t have a subscription to pay. Had a little issue getting started but the folks at autodesk responded well and got me all fixed up. Great customer support and the learning tools are great too. I like being able to work on my MacBook and I can switch to my wife’s HP laptop and work the same as I did on my Mac. I can see my projects on my iPhone and on my little brothers samsung phone. As stated earlier please keep this non-subscription based for the little guy.

FAR better value than ANY other CAD/CAM available!

Mykal1970

Coming from a Solidworks and SolidCAM history, I can safely say that this software, for the dollar figure, completely destroys the competition! Don’t get me wrong iMachining is an awesome feature but, for the cost involved in a package that would meet both my modeling and CAM needs; forget it. The shear span of capabilities included in Autodesk’s product is AMAZING right out of the gate. I can not imagine what the “top tier” CAM software companies are thinking; how could they EVER expect to survive this onslaught thrown down by Autodesk? I’ve been using Fusion-360 for over a year now and daily find myself surprised with some new feature r function that I wasn’t aware of the day before. It provides an intuitive modeling component that rivals Solidworks and surpasses it in many ways. This is followed up with a CAM package that has yet to fail me in anything from simple two axis turning and laser cutting to multi axis machining with highly intelligent and versatile tool paths; simply and quickly. All of this for less than I pay for my lunch of a month; if you don’t require multi axis machining, less than my coffee per month. I don’t see their competition remaining in business in the next five years without their having to be able to market their product price competitively with Autodesk. Yes, that was a bold statement but, take a look at the market currently; just speak with some of your contacts in the CNC machining business and see just how many of them have already made the jump. They have a free trial, there’s nothing to lose; don’t miss out. Mike Ward.

Old dog, new tricks

dbdavid

After using numerous CAD packages through my like, I stumbled onto Fusion. After a very short learning startup, I find myself able to design, program and make just about anything I can image. From 3d printing to 4 axis machining, Fusion has made my ideas real. Because the package is easy to learn but yet very capable, I am training my grandson through Titans of CNC, to become a machinist. At 13, he has been able to design, program and machine complicated parts without my help! To Autodesk, thank you for the great product and your generous policies for student and their teachers

Doesn’t actually do anything.

Just a file viewer. Deeply disappointed.

Just a viewer

VoloMachina

This app is just a viewer for files from the actual software on a regular computer. I thought at first that I could create 3D models on my iPad Pro but was sadly mistaken. This app is very helpful for viewing objects you have made elsewhere but that’s it.

Best Value in CAE/CAD/CAM

Rich feature set. Unbelievable price! Incredible value. Leading edge in how work is actually being done.

Amazing!

Reesesben

This is amazing! Super useful when I want to show people models that I made! an iPad Pro full version would be really nice!

Really great, good as free, ideas for more function

zzz97

This is really awesome as a way to view my files, show them to other people, and share them somewhat. Fusion 360 really is the most cost-effective 3-D modeling software on the market, and the fact they give it to hobbyists and start ups for free it’s amazing. Very good job that’s very good of them. They’re making the world a better place. I think that it would be really cool if this app enabled me to sketch from my phone, and even do some shape modeling from my phone. I think if it was possible to directly download and email and store 3-D files through the phone, that would be neat. But maybe they don’t do it for security reasons?

Simple to powerful,

Ttech007

This product is very powerful if you dig into it, but simple and productive at the start. I’m looking forward to advancing into it, but for now have designed loads of designs that I have produced 3D printed products for various applications. It may take longer initially because of using the fundamental steps, but as I go along, I find either shortcuts or advanced/combined procedures. And? I haven’t even touched the more advanced capabilities either. I was working with SolidWorks, but found the learning curve much easier with Fusion 360. There ate quite a bit of tutorials on the Internet for this that.

Components with joints don’t work well

Basuri player

- If you try and view something that has any components connected by joints often your design looks as if it has been blown up. Bodies everywhere in random locations. - even after weeks designs still don’t get previews and can’t be opened. Sharing them often fixes this but really If you try and open a design it needs to generate the preview then and there. - So only really good for the simplest of designs
