Love service, better app needed

If a sports fan (especially soccer), Fubo service is great. Plenty of live games, with dedicated section in directory. However, the app could be better. First, it should respect system wide closed captioning settings (notably on AppleTV). It is annoying to always have to turn them for each viewing. Second, finding specific shows to record (or watch on demand) is difficult. There is a relatively standard guide view, but too much scrolling can be needed. Third, the aggressive ratings requests are annoying when watching something.

I'm a premier subscriber, and was honestly disappointed initially. But they’ve made some strides over the last several months to improve the quality of the streaming, and the functionality of the app itself. I hope they continue down this path, because there isn’t a better service for streaming soccer matches. The rest of their lineup is nice as well, if you’re a cord cutter. Video playback needs to updated for iPhone X. It currently doesn’t utilize as much of the screen as it could, and there’s no way to fully expand video for full screen.

Can’t access channels

Since the menu was changed, I can no longer use my Roku remote to scroll down to the channel I want to watch (which is way down the list). Customer support said to download the iPhone app and use that instead. But you can’t get to the channels at all with the app. So I have to push the right arrow on my remote 56 TIMES to get to what I want to watch. And because your streaming is so erratic I have to do it multiple times every day. It displays the content for maybe an hour and then stops and has to be restarted from the Roku home screen again. One star for the app and at most two for the user interface overall.

Loading and buffering even on strong connection can be horrible at times and some of the DVR videos won’t load.

What an annoying app! An app with such an expensive subscription that doesn’t even work!! Started my free trial which I had to do multiple times, only to not be able to watch. When logging in, it says there’s an error. It won’t recognize my user ID. But when I try to sign up again, it says account’s already created with my email so obviously signup was successful. But it wouldn’t let me sign in. Useless. Uninstalled and unsubscribed the first day. Waste of time!
