Although some of the reviews give high marks to this app, it didn't work for me. Unlike a true stud finder, it can only sense nails and not the stud itself. For some reason it found very few nails for me. Maybe it's better used for really finding metal and use as stud finder is secondary.

This app only works for large metal objects, doesn't work to find studs. I put the iPhone right on top of a nail in a stud and it didn't show any difference.

Tested it on various metal objects and a range of sensitivities and did not work at all.
