App used to work fairly well until the update yesterday. Now it won’t connect at all.

This app will not connect by UID, DDNS. In a desktop browser, it will not allow login by host name either, only by IP. Times out. Do not waist your money on Foscam! Since they were bought it has been an awful system. I’m an IT system Admin with a degree in internet security. For what it’s worth, you’ve been warned. So their tech support contacted me since my review, I’ve given them vast detail about my network, including my hostname, and they asked me for my IP address. This can’t be their tech support. No wonder the product is junk. After dealing with their support, I’ve given up on them. It’s really amazing how bad they are at their job. It’s either they need a lot of training, or it’s a language barrier issue. This is why any company should have local support for any country you sell your products in. The product itself isn’t great, the software is terrible and the support is, well, nonexistent.

Needs ipv6 compatibility !!!

App works good when I am home on WiFi but away from home if you have an Apple device it won’t work because the app is not compatible with ipv6 security protocol so you can’t access the dvr fix it and it would be a far better app

It’s so frustrating when I’m trying to access my camera in a more urgent situation and it doesn’t load or the app completely shuts down.

Doesn’t work with iPad Pro with iOS 11.4.1

The only thing that works is how much of the hard disk is used. It will not show any Foscam Camera connected to the nvr The viewer just shows a spinning arrow for hours!

I recently added the 3104 NVR to my Foscam cameras, took less than 1hr to complete the setup. I downloaded this app for remote viewing of cameras and recordings on both iPad (filter iPhone only) and iPhone, it takes about 10 seconds for the app to open but then ALL functions work perfect, can view cameras and search/playback any recordings from each camera anywhere, both home and away from home. I have read many reviews here that state this app doesn’t work away from home or at all for recordings, unfortunately I have to conclude from their remarks that its user error and their incomplete setups- There is a critical step to make this work, you MUST go into your router and open the port for both the NVR IP and the NVR port (port forwarding) for remote viewing, and another critical element to the setup is to setup your IP and port as static, if you use DHCP your router will from time to time reset and change your IP which kills remote viewing. Hope this helps.

Come on Foscam. I am connecting to your server and then searching for cameras. This is day number 2. I can see it from my pc but not from my iPhone. Please do something. April 2019 Works great now. Please inform your tech support when you your app have a problem.

So this is an update. I’ve had these cameras for about three months now and even though they’re all wired the minute it starts to rain or even get cloudy all four cameras shut down. I have an iPhone 6S plus, and every time you open the app you have to close it again because if you go back to the home screen and then try to click on the app it will be frozen. I have one nest camera and it works flawlessly and the app does as well. I’m going to keep them but after all was said and done this cost me $900 and I feel like I really got screwed. I absolutely do not recommend. Set up is extremely complicated as well.

Everything is difficult and slow. Finally when you get where you are trying to, the app crashes and you have to start at square one. Lots of fun!
