Hasbro has completely failed with this worthless app. It doesn't work as advertised and adds zero value to your figures. Do yourself a favor and don't bother to even download it.

Yesterday I decided to buy the force link 2.0 because of the new stuff it had but when I took it out of the package and downloaded the app, it wouldn’t connect and it crashed for only one time! This is an unreliable toy compared to the force link 1.0! Will be returning it to the store soon!

This app is useless.

This app is useless. There is no navigation and no matter how many time I start over I can’t initiate the firmware update. So lame. Get it together Hasbro! It shouldn’t be this hard. I can see the device is connected but no matter how many times I tap twice, it will not start to update.

We have already taken 2 of the wristbands that the app is supposed to connect with back to store for refund in same day. The stupid step of having to “tap toy twice” to update will not work. Terrible design - I’d fire the entire team and start over starting with common sense (not banging a toy until it connects, which either of ours did) -AVOID this flawed design. The Force is not with the toy makers here. Boo Disney cheap made ($30) plastic toy.

After a 1/2 hour it finally began the 1st update. It then told me to double click the underside for a short update. I spent 20 mins trying it. Restarting the app. Nothing. If I made a product like this, I’d be fired. This took 3 hours of my life I’ll never get back and my son is disappointed. What garbage this product and process has been. So I’m stuck in the “short” update, what do i do now other than have fun watching paint dry ...

Tap bug?

It asks you to tap the device to update but doesn’t do anything. Too bad because this sounded like a nice add on to the toys.... app gets stuck and the link device just keeps saying it needs a firmware update.

Crashes

So I buy the force link 2.0 download the app, go to tap it, I can’t tap it even with force, my mother does it, then here’s comes the biggest problem: I can’t update it. Whenever I update it, the app crashes or says I can’t update it cause there’s a problem that occurred, which means I exited the app or something when in reality I didn’t. If I were developing the app, I would make it so you turn off your phone if you want and keep them close to each other then it automatically downloads. In other words I can’t play with a Chewbacca figure that I purchased without the update and it won’t update.
