Food Tacker app

This is a great app to quickly keep track of food choices. It is very similar to Richard Simmons’ food tracker. In the pro version, you are able to correct a mistake. The only complaint I have is that sometimes it won’t let you undo a mistake.

Don’t waste your money

This app is garbage. You can only click on how many servings you have ate. If you don’t know what category your food falls under it won’t work. Find a different app.

Don’t buy! $4.99 is not worth it.

I can’t even adjust the full page of the suggested food serving size information. What a waste of money, unfortunately.

Easy to use
Mrs. Googiemonster

I like it because it’s easy to use. I have mine set up for the equivalent of 1200 calories and I have water and exercise in there too. When it’s time for dinner I how many servings I have left so I won’t over eat

Buggy,DONT BUY use exchanges in a free calorie tracker instead

TLDR: cannot backfill, cannot undo actions, cannot set flexible goals, cannot create custom foods, cannot get an approximation of total intake / macros. I regret buying this as I can't figure out how to get a refund. Consider this purchase the equivalent of ripping a $5 bill in half. This app has an old and extremely buggy UI. (1) you cannot backfill because of bugs. You'd better remember to log every day because if you don't you can never fix it! (2) you cannot fix a mistake in your current day log, or just adjust an exchange down, instead you have to go into a context menu and wipe the entire log clean and start over! There is no down--Only up and start over. Not bugs, but stupid choices: (3) The ui is designed to make you feel good (green) if you are under your goal servings and bad (red) if you are over. However (1) you cannot set the goal high enough for protein and fat to get to e.g. 130g of protein. (3) all goals go from green to red, so if you under your veg and water goal? Green. Over? Red. Very stupid UI choice. (4) cannot add custom foods. If you eat a lot of mixed type dishes it is annoying to have to enter 1/2 meat + 1/4 starch + 1/2 fat etc for each serving and do that math. Custom foods would solve this problem but isn't available. (5) everything in the ADA book should be available to look up as a good and log as a portion e.g. Look up "hummus" and log 1/3 cup of it correctly as 1 starch + 1 fat. Instead, you have to do all of your own portion math. This app is ONLY for tallying portions, as in seeing 6 starch, 5 fat, etc, which most people can easily do on a sheet of paper for free and less bugs. Instead of this, use loseit! or another free app. Create custom foods called "starch exchange" serving size: one exchange. Do this for all food groups. Log that way. It's harder to see how many exchanges you've had all day, but I create a "food note" that tracks this. At the end of the day you get an estimate of your calories and macros. The best part is that it's free.

Great tool
rajiver

This matches the method for the Exchange Diet. Easy to use without the complexity of adding individual foods.

Great App
Anoron

It's a great app for simple portion tracking. Instructions would help. It took me forever to find how to edit "yesterday" to add my midnight snack.

Love It!!!!!

I always use this App. It's a good tracker and easy to use. Good visual. I really keep track of my water intake, carbs and desert. I stopped using it once thinking I could control my eating without it, but I was wrong. I started using it again and now I can't stop. I highly recommend it and the best feature is it's easy to use.

Just what I needed

This app is the perfect tracker for me. The simplicity ensures that I use it. Very happy.

Frustrating
Rosefirerising

I bought this because a health coach recommended it. I find it a real disappointment. Not all of the icons are clear to me. I was trying to figure out what the bottle was (olive oil? Beer? Something else?). I touched it to get more info. It said I ingested whatever it is. I tried to undo it, but there is no undo. What if the bus hits a pothole while you are entering data? The scope and purpose of the tracking wasn't clear to me before getting it. It isn't calories. It isn't actually foods. It is number of servings per day by food categories. Broad categories. Very broad. For my purposes, this is useless, and worse than useless.
