Love it!

Marsh_McInnis

As a geologist and a frequent flyer (4+ times a week) I absolutely love this app! I highly recommend it for anyone interested in learning a bit while they fly. I'm looking forward to future updates and watching this app become even better!

Gotta use it to believe it

Works superbly. I had no idea that GPS continued to work even in airplane mode. Highlight of a recent flight was being able to tell we were passing by Hamburg before the pilot announced it. One quibble: deleted paths continue to take up space. Only way to clear them seems to be to delete app and reinstall. Worth 5 stars despite that inconvenience.

Hangs downloading & saving

Eftca

Tried to download routes using a variety of settings. App hangs often near the end of the download or gets to the end of download and issues a failed to save warning. I am using a stable wifi connection and have 10s of GB of space free on my phone. Previous versions worked better.

Did not work for the intended purpose

Kcafd20

Wanted to watch my location in flight, I was able to download my map, but I never saw my location. Also, I kept having to reload the saved map.

Can't save maps

ShorinSean

This app is such a great idea, but I haven't been able to save any maps (just basic+wikipedia) for a month. Is this a student project that's been abandoned? Even the support page URL doesn't work any more.

Useless

srohde

Every time I have tried to save a route, the save fails. It uses up your cell data downloading, and just as the download completes, an error message is displayed the explains that the save failed. The app is a useless disappointment.

Will not allow user to enter departure nor destination cities

BestMusicExpert

Map window appears as white screen. Tapped to add marker. Marker is who knows where.

Will not load maps

Srkyoto

I would give a big fat zero if it would let me.. I followed directions then once you select save for offline, it will not save and states to check my connection..I have full bars and on secure connection. Waste of time! Too bad sounded cool!

Won't load points of interest

salcorn

I've tried to use this on at least a half dozen flights and never had much luck. I think I did manage to get points of interest once, about a year ago. The latest version can no longer connect to Wikipedia, so when you go to load a route you're only going to get geologic and dinosaur bones information, which gets old fast. The app is a great idea, but just doesn't work very well.

No search to select path

Black cat racing

There is no way to enter either a city/state or even an airport code to set the path. Scrolling and zooming (which often changes the orientation) are frustrating. If you don't know where you are going to, you're going to close this app and forget about it. I dislike this app intensely.
