Great idea, terrible execution

Wait Wait, I'll Tell You

I love the idea of this company, but after several orders, I’m really frustrated. The positives are no more schlepping to the fluff and fold and the laundry smells good. But I’ve now twice not received my delivery on time; they just canceled it after I sat around waiting during the two-hour window. I realize issues happen, but don’t text me that my driver is “almost here” and to be ready, only to never have the delivery show up! And that’s after I stopped using the dry-cleaning because you destroyed most of my buttons that I’m now paying my old dry-cleaner to repair. There’s a great business model and demand for your services here, but I hope you have customers left by the time you get your operations working.

I had my laundry picked up 3 days ago. I’ve had to reschedule my delivery 3 times now because they “are experiencing significant delays”. I have no clothes for work. This has been happening for my past couple orders. I’m going back to cleanly after this one.


Clothes clean but unreliable.

After using these folks a few times I’m going back to my old laundry place. The clothes came back clean but they are unreliable. They emailed on their second wash and fold that they needed more time to complete my order and missed the delivery. I travel often so it was a good thing I wasn’t going out of town the next day or it would have been a real mess. I’ve also noticed that on-demand pickup has been grayed out more and more. My latest order was supposed to be picked up this evening. I was emailed and told that Daniel tried to reach me (no buzz at my door) but he said he could not and I’d have to reschedule. Next appointment tomorrow. I saw a call come in from an unknown number earlier and just missed picking it up. Figuring it was the pickup guy I immediately buzzed the entry door for 30 seconds and nobody came in. You just lost a likely long term customer FlyCleaners! Why didn’t you just ring my apartment buzzer???


Worst service ever.

They lost all my laundry. Made no effort to retrieve it. And credited my account $14! That’s enough to get all my clothes back.. correct? No!! And then somehow found some of my clothes and delivered them, covered in piss. Thanks FlyCleaners. Amazing job.


Terrible!

Multiple times they have cancelled scheduled delivery of clothes. They reschedule and no show. So you wait around for nothing. They have lost my hang dry only to find days later and have terrible service considering they don’t care if you don’t get your clothes. Terrible! Try cleanly they are nicer at least.


Terrible communication

When I first started using this service I loved it, but as more and more people used it the company had no idea how to handle the influx. The wait times for drivers would be FOREVER and most recently they lost a pair of expensive pants and are terrible at communicating. I’ve been basically BEGGING them to respond and I finally had to call. They owe me money from that pair of pants and I am incredibly frustrated with their lack of communication and terrible customer service. Update: the refunded the pants but only 23 dollars even tho the pants were worth 75 dollars and were almost brand new!!!! I will NEVER be using this app again


Overpromises and underdelivers

This service has consistently failed to meet its promised timelines. It claims to driver up to 12am, but the app doesn’t allow you to choose that option.


Unreliable drivers and app can be buggy

A couple of times the app has just deleted my order out of nowhere with no indication which has been very frustrating. Most times I need to reschedule the drop off delivery as well since they usually don’t deliver within the window.


Where is my laundry?

I was so excited to try this. But on my first load of laundry - I had to hunt my laundry down like some sort of cat and mouse game. I received a text notification that my laundry would be delivered during my delivery window. Then....nothing. The next day, still nothing. No additional texts or emails. So I called. The delivery truck had been running behind so my delivery was cancelled. They were very apologetic that I didn’t receive a cancellation notice, so they applied a $5 credit for my next service and rescheduled my delivery. I made sure to tell the person - I live in a doorman building so they can deliver ANYTIME. So in a few hours, I receive another text notification that my laundry would be delivered soon. Then...nothing. The next day I was out and didn’t have a chance to check to see if it had been delivered but I hadn’t received a cancellation notice so it must be with my doorman, right?! WRONG. 3 days after the original delivery date, I call again. Where is my laundry. The person tells me that my laundry is ready and I can go to the app and schedule a time. I about lost it. After I explained it to her - she still wanted me to go to the app and schedule it. I told her that not only had Fly Cleaners failed to deliver my laundry twice during my scheduled delivery times, they failed to notify me with a cancellation email, text, call, smoke signal, anything! My first time using the service and I am just suppose to keep going back to the app and rescheduling every time they fail to do their jobs? This has been the worst experience. I will never use them again. Buyer beware.


Unreliable garbage

There are others who provide this service for the same price and actually deliver your clothes when they say they will. If they mess up your order (and clearly they will), they’ll offer you a measly $5 CREDIT for a future order. As if I’d ever use them twice? STAY AWAY.
