Fun and easy to use

An Anonimous Boi

I’ve always found most composition softwares to complicated and expensive. This one is free and easy to use.

Great App, But...

This app is really good! Simply put, it's definitely user-friendly and a straight-to-the-point app. I have no trouble adding notes, however, I believe there's no option add rests/extended rests? I am trying to transpose a piano accompaniment to a flute arrangement, however, it doesn't seem to allow me to add rests of any sorts.

AMAZING!

I love this app. I take music theory and I hope to continue music through college either majoring or minoring in it. I have constantly been looking for good programs to compose with, and so far this is my favorite one. And the best part about it, it’s free! Thank you developers, I hope nothing about this app ever changes.

Magnificent

This app is the best possible app I could have chosen to write music. I wrote music for the video game development company I’m a part of, and Flat meets all my needs and expectations. It’s very easy to use, so I can write scores within days. At any point in time, I can play my musical piece and hear how it sounds. Five stars all the way. If you need a musical app, look no further than Flat.

Really good! Maybe bug...?

Flat is an AMAZING app! The sound is great, and I have a lot of options for instruments. I was looking for a way to transcribe my songs onto sheet music easily and relatively quickly, and this app was perfect for it. My only problem with it is that it can be a little tricky to navigate at times, and won’t play all my instruments unless I’m wearing headphones (which might just be a bug). Still, huge improvement to the pen and paper method I was using before.

Any musician

I cannot imagine learning to read music with compositional understanding not having this in the tool box. I use this to hear what a piece sounds like by transferring the music notation from the sheet music to the app and playing it back at the speed I can manage (with the instrument I am using). It helps me conquer subtle changes as well as complicated fingerings on my string instruments. Bravo!

Use this app.

This is a great app that I would recommend for anyone. The controls are nice and intuitive, and the dev team seems to be really active in costumer response and updates. To the devs: Thank you for your community outreach, and I have 2 small problems. The text on the sign in page using email is right to left (but still works properly), and I could never get that one measure of megalo strike back to sound just right. :) thanks for the app.

Great user interface

I love how simple and intuitive this app is to write music, even the free version is very useful for my limited needs. Compared to MuseScore and Finale etc. It is very cheap and simple to use.

Awesome app! Only one issue, but it is a very small one

This is a great app! I can’t believe for this quality that it’s free! The fact it is able to notate things for specific instruments, as well as the extensive markings it offers is absolutely amazing and so helpful for a music student. The only issue I am having is the fact the app doesńt phrase things quite the way I want. For example, for a measure of eighth note runs, the eighth notes will be phrased a group of 2, 2, 2, 2 instead of 4, 4. The only reason I would have an issue with this is the sake of phrasing. Perhaps you could do this and I haven’t figured it out lol.

Some instrument sounds not working.

Holengon

Easy to work with but some sounds don’t go through (Eg. Viola is completely silent). It displays the notes fine, but any note within the range of the instrument makes a sound. Overall, I would recommend this app for making your own music.
