Normally your brain will attempt to pronounce words you read, which is called subvocalization or internal speech.
Flash Reader removes this limitation by showing you words so fast that your brain doesn't have time to subvocalize, but still allows you to retain everything you've read, by something called RSVP.

Whether it's light reading, or complicated business emails, training your eyes to read faster couldn't be easier, while your reading skill and comprehension will keep getting better and better with each article you finish.

*Please note:
Flash Reader DOES NOT have advertisements of any kind.
Services such as Instapaper, Pocket, website article saving and certain file-specific document conversions have limits and might require the Flash Reader Pro upgrade, which is a permanent one-time payment that unlocks all features of the app.

Some services (including PDF and ePub importing, as well as Microsoft Office files like DOCX) require an active internet connection when importing.

Also note that Flash Reader does not have voice support, so no text-to-speech or anything like that.

Reviews

It does work.. BUT.....
AdamLianne

There is just one huge slider which is useless to find ones place. This app needs the ability to show a table of contents and perhaps a short rewind option so we can find our place in a book or start at a different location than the copyright page. Until it does that I am deleting it.

Love flash reader (suggestion for a feature)
Icon3003

I love flash reader and it’s ability to teach me subjects and review texts quickly and efficiently. Additional features I would like to see are 1. bookmarks so I can go back to specific sections of text more quickly 2. Add support for Google Drive for quick and easy way to add my books and other text without having to rely on clipboard (copy/paste). Thanks for the great app and attention to my suggestions. Good luck, Mike

Great app!

Fantastic I would also push for a more precise scrub, and a chapter or point selection that brings up the whole text like the book and you can find a section.

Where to start
Dirty2507

App works well but PDF files can be large. I would like the option of where I start reading maybe even a search in my file.

Instapaper doesn't connect
thursfrisat

This app seems great, but the main reason I bought it was to read the hundreds of articles I have in Instapaper at any given time. Unfortunately, Instapaper won't load in this app and just says "Error." I sent a message to support but haven't heard back and will revise my review if it's remedied.

Doesn't work
il doctori

The first time I tried it, excellent. Felt good. Imported from my clipboard when I was prompted to, worked. After the first time I can't paste anything. This app is flawed.

Love it!

It's just wasting money to get this. I was struggling to try it out but I got frustrated by this app. It hardly connect to internet and it would take you ages to import any context into the app. It has poor user friendly aspects. Try another app instead and don't waste you time and money.

Not sure yet
Tarrette

Two things I have found frustrating; the length of time words stay on the screen seems to depend on their length. When I first used the app I did not see any of the"I's"and"a's"". Slowing down the rate helped a lot. In the end I found showing two words at a time was best for me. The second problem I have is that I haven't found a way to go back and reread a paragraph, sentence etc. On the other hand I have found that I remember what I have read better. I think I will come to like this app.
