game is crashy. after entering into a match, the game can get intense and in the middle of heavy fight, the app would unexpectedly close on itself, collapsing onto oblivion and back to the dead feeling of losing a match due to app’s connection issues. losing and ddying and missing out on rewards due to bad connection have been ongoing and from what i know, it won’t be fixed soon enough. on a good note, if the app did not die on you, you will get a reward regardless of win or lose. updated review: game is fun to play. at my tier just equipinh the right fears goes a long way. wheb match starts, it plays like a moba similar to vainglory, but u can collect pets around the map, which makes the core of the game... the graphics is cartoony and appealing. it’s good enough for me since i dont weight graphics highly after having played rogue text games. Cons: despite having fixed the connection issues and the crashes, the game is not without flaws. off the top of my head, the game goes into a cutscene in the middle of the game which is where there’s a break from fighting, exactly when the reactors start their duel. another issue that is a con is the skippiness in menus and changing menus due to responsiveness of button clicks. there’s a wait time after a button click, so navigating the menus is choppy.

I really wanna give this the five, but...

The game crashes way too often to be enjoyable. I haven’t been able to make it through a full match in 2 days because every match I play in crashes. I’ve tried everything, closing out all other apps, restarting my phone etc and it still runs into problems. Other than that, it’s great! The card system, while a little pay to win, is a neat alternative to items in normal mobas, and the artstyle and characters are great. The agents are charming and are fun to play as. The whole concept of the game is interesting, the bulk of the match is working up to one big boss fight at the end, and you have to help push your side to the win by collecting mana and powering up your reactor. It’s a neat idea and is executed very well. I have a few nitpicks but those are not the game’s fault, it’s the occasional player who steals kobold/wolfkin kills at the last moment, robbing you of that ally. It’s frustrating. Honestly if square enix can iron out the crashing kinks then this game will happily earn the five stars. I’m loving it when I can get in and play a full game. I just wish I was able to get more of that five star experience.

in my original review i was pretty harsh. i had not experienced the full game really at the time and i do apologize. the movement in the game still feels a little sluggish but it’s possible i’ve played to many games on the iphone with a joystick that i’m not used to the tap to move mechanic anymore. i said the game is very pay to win and i stand corrected. if you want every agent quickly you would need to pay but the game is very nice with Topaz (premium currency). completing missions (tasks) rewards you with a hefty sum. i’ve played over 20 matches now and have had enough to buy 2 agents. i was also rewards with agent tickets which act as a free agent unlock. i recommend trying all the characters out before buying any but that goes for most games. the actual gameplay is good with some minor issues here and there but overall it’s a pretty decent game. in my original review i bashed the art style a bit and i honestly take it back. the art is rather pretty and it’s a nice change from most MOBAs on the iphone. 4/5 for me and i recommend you try it out and give it a real try not just my half assed original attempt. play about 10 matches before reviewing. it’s worth it. sorry square enix that i jumped to conclusions.

Update10/13/17: after the update still no change with the game crashing..this is a cool game just fix the crash issue Update 10/11/17: Come on Square-Enix!!! You update the game but you dont fix the crash issue...face palm..im bout ready to just delete the app for good. Good thing i didnt pay for anything yet.. Its a really fun game honestly i just wish i could actually play a full game without the whole app crashing every time! Then it makes it count as a loss. Im so mad

The character art drew me in to download this it reminded me of TWEWY. Then after completing the tutorial and a few matches O uninstalled. It looks nice enough but game play isn’t really fun. I’m sticking with Vainglory for 3v3 MOBA.

Really fun take on the MOBA genre. Feels very casual while you’re playing, but thats only because the controls are so smooth. A game is not without its quirks however, and something I’ve noticed here is you always need to be paying attention to who/what you’re targeting, until you get familiar enough with what skills/abilities/whatever can cause you to detarget. Try it out. Since games only take about 10 minutes, you really won’t regret it.
