Superb

bowisneski

It has taken over all of my FLAC and cloud based music streaming. It even let me download and open ZIP files from the web and my email.

Unable to Connect

Drybonz99

Looked promising but any attempt to connect to my Windows shared folder got “unable to connect to device”. No form of support available. Would be great if they offered a little desktop app to sit in your Windows system tray and make connecting easy, like so many other apps, but I dont see anything like that..

Does not work with SMB

Craylola11398

I updated it to 3 stars because DNLA works but after playing 20 - 30 songs (not sure the exact number) the app crashes, restarts itself and begins playing a different song which is always 3 songs down the list from the song I was listening too. This occurs if I listen to it directly on my iPhone/iPad or if its connected to my HomePod. I first thought it was an AirPlay issue so i disconnected it from streaming to my HomePod but it occurs streaming directly to iPhone/iPad. I guess it could be an issue with DNLA. I love this app but it has been nothing but problems from day one. I can’t ever count on using it from one time to the next.

SMB support is still broken

PaulB999999

Being able to connect to my media server and download any songs i wanted was one of the reasons i bought this app and now that feature has been broken for 4+ months now. I’ve emailed the dev about it not working anymore and haven’t heard anything back.

Good app but now it is more expensive

HonestReader

I keep dropping my rating... I use this app to download music files from my PC to my phone and avoid itunes. Now you have to pay $3 to download folders or artists. Oh well I paid $3 because I liked the app. Newest update won’t let you sort the music by artist then album??? That is barely functional.

Very Nice Music app with slow support

StachStach

Flacbox would get 5* if it support SMB v2 or v3, instead of the vulnerable v1 (promised over 1 year ago). I’d love to see FTP, SCP or SSH connectivity as well to provide more standard options. Flacbox now plays music flawlessly at least since the squashed the bugs in recent releases.

It’s very good app

H. Mudd

I really like this app. Sound quality is my top priority and Flacbox delivers. Easily worth the 2.99. But I would really like to see the developer add gapless playback and scrolling or alphabetical selection. Finding the album you want or the artist is an issue if you have a large collection.

Where’s support?

50ish Dude

I initially used the app to download about 2000 songs from OneDrive and it played fine on my iPhone 7Plus 256 gb. It also played from OneDrive a well. I decided to remove the songs and use my iPad to play the songs from OneDrive. The songs show in the Music Library file “Songs” and even waiting overnight will not play any songs. I have the newest iPad. Same problem with the iPhone. I have written the dev twice with no reply. Once through the contact option in the app store and once on their website. This is sad because when it did work it was a 5 star app. I dislike writing bad reviews.

Best opus player

VovBrat

Only player I’ve found that correctly scans and plays my collection of Opus files. There are some metatag deficiencies, but i’ve found that this is a limitation of the ogg container and not necessarily the fault of the app.
