Convenient and informative

Pros. Find body of water from several informative maps tap on body and get regs and other useful info Good asset for discovering new place to explore. Link to WDFW is a plus here. Eregs is updated when app is opened Cons. Huge amount of space required on device compared to BC Canada and Idaho. Only an issue with smaller gig devices. Improvement: Have a place in the app for current licenses held would be really convenient.

I use this quite a bit. Only request is to be able to submit my end of year catch card instead of mailing it in.
A must have app!

One of the most important traits a fisherman must possess to be successful is confidence. Having current, accurate information at your fingertips is by far the best start to a good day on the water. I start every trip with Fish Washington, it is a must have for all who fish the waters of the Evergreen State.

There are many discrepancies between printed fishing regulations and what is on the app. Don’t trust that it’s up to date!
Not for novice and ads in the app?

This app is somewhat useful, but supported by ads? For crying out loud! This is already paid by our taxes! Now ads? For novice fishermen- forget this app. No pictures of fish to identify, map is riddled with waterways and lakes and hard to pinpoint your actual location. I have no idea why it’s so highly rated. Total 90’s app. Developer, here are suggestions to make it 5 stars: 1. Remove ads 2. Make waterways overlay gradient (min/max slider) 3. Include pictures of actual fish species, so it’s easy to identify for novice 4. Identify “all” designated ramps including rivers ( not all currently present) 5. Create pop-ups for general rules or exceptions (instead of clicks to “next” screen) 6. Create geolocation ping to tell users what regs are in their present location 7. Incorporate fishing license info purchase, so it’s “all” in one app - purchases, current license, renewals. Otherwise this app is a glorified map.
Bare minimum

I love the wdfw website, but the app shows the bare minimum. I was hoping I’d get all that cool information from the website on hand with app, but it really just shows regulations. I guess the app name doesn’t lie. But if you want more, go to their website
New update = Map issues
The Real Turtleman
I recently updated this app and now can no longer access the map. Please fix. Other than this incident, I’ve loved the app. UPDATE: My issue has been corrected with the most recent iOS update. Revising my rating back to a 5. Thanks to the developers for reaching out to me.
