Firefox Lockbox is a Test Pilot experiment from Mozilla.
Takes forever to open and load credentials when using auto-fill. Lockwise works. But I’m giving it one star because Lockwise provides a worse UX than any other password management app I’ve used. If the auto fill was faster and locally cached it would be 4 stars.
I really like Lockwise a lot. It’s basic and straight forward. No random features to have to stumble through. The main negative I have for it is that a lot of times I’ll want to save a new user name and password however there is no way to save a new one in app. You have to do it in Firefox desktop which is highly inconvenient given the basic nature of this app.
Works pretty well, but not as well as iCloud Keychain. The biggest problem is the inability to manually input passwords or import them.
If you try logging into your account on the app it will immediately log you back off and you can’t access your passwords. It is now a completely worthless app.
I’d been wanting to use this app but every time I attempt to log in through the iOS app I’m immediately kicked out back to the initial splash screen. A very frustrating bug so far
Can’t add, delete or edit logins from the app, only desktop. Ridiculous. I really wanted to use this as a replacement for another password manager. I trust Mozilla but I can’t say I trust who thought this wouldn’t frustrate users. I’m on my phone more than my desktop or laptop. Not being able to manage anything from the app is a step backward, not forward.
Yes I can login to Firefox Sync on MacOS, yes via the browser on iOS, but does that same login and password work in the Firefox Lockwise app on iOS? Nooooooo. “Incorrect password.” Wha??! Double and triple check the working password, all good, but nooooo not in the Lockwise app.
