Buggy and unprofessionally developed

I’ve been using the iOS version of Final Draft daily for a little over two months. In that time I have found it to be incredibly buggy. Bugs range from frequent nuisances (text fields that don’t scroll correctly, unreliable text selection tools) to devastating (pages of lost work). I’ve learned to save constantly and never to trust the app’s auto-save feature; nor ever to leave an iCloud-synced document open on more than one device at the same time. I’ve wrestled constantly with the poorly made, non-iOS-standard UI elements. This app has a very high overall rating. I have to assume that’s based on the general love for the desktop product and not an accurate assessment of this mobile app as a primary tool. If it weren’t the industry standard, I would delete it and never touch it again.
Cannot rely on this app for my work

Tried again to use the app instead of the full version on my laptop and there were ridiculous formatting issues, page numbers in the middle of the page, and it simply did not email the fdx file so I had to transcribe my work into the full version on my laptop. Is there some issue with files from different versions of the software (pretty sure my laptop is running 9 and my boss runs 10)? I want this to work badly, which is the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars because I haven’t deleted it yet.

I would say 4.5/5 only because of the irregular but constant crashes. The app is really amazing and if you have $10 to spend i would! It is easy to use and i cant wait to use it more! EDIT: thanks for responding! App devs don't take time to respond to review and i think thats cool that you do! The app has stopped crashing and works 10X better!! I will recommend this app to anyone who asks!

Occasionally it will start saving new copies of the document. I had 66 at one point. Now the latest one won’t open. It’s a simple document. I also hate that I can’t move this file onto a desktop without spending $200 more on the full FD, which adds a bunch of features I won’t use.

I bought this for my iPad while on vacation. It does NOT work. It constantly reports errors syncing with iTunes. I’ve written feedback to them three times. I’ve heard nothing back. Too bad. Wasted my money.

What a disappointment. I’ve used Final Draft since the 90s. I just bought this and I’ve tried writing and this darn thing keeps freezing. I’ve deleted and downloaded again. I’ve restarted. I’ve hard rebooted the iPad. Nothing works. The workflow is ridiculous. I can barely get anything done. $15 down the drain. I’m going to try Celtx. Anything is better than this junk. Get your act together.
