It's a good start, but....

Jwsudd

It doesn't show pre-existing IPTC data in photos. It also needs a way to flip between pictures in the current album.

Never deleted an app so fast.

Davarick

At $4 you would think that this app would at least be decent. That thought is very incorrect. The "clone" feature, which is essentially what I bought this app for, is terrible. All of the other features are better in less expensive, more functional apps (VSCO, Afterlight, etc.) Your money is better spent elsewhere.

I use it a lot

RWMan

I use this app quite a bit because the interface suits me. It’s easy to select editing features with the left semi-transparent palettes rather than continuously swiping to access a hidden left menu. I also like the effects and masks available. There are a few shortcomings as noted by other reviewers but I still go to this app first for editing needs. My biggest wish would be for an extension that would allow me to open Filterstorm from the Photos library.

Has potential

Orlaam

I am finding this app very cumbersome. Perhaps on an iPad it would be easier to manipulate the photo; however, on the iPhone the controls are hard to adjust and the presentation of the pic makes it difficult. It opens zoomed for one. You can pinch to zoom out, but often it will zoom back in or move around while editing. It's just hard to use. I also think, despite what some would say, the lack of preset filters are a shortcoming. On a PC or Mac, a full editor is a purists paradise, yet on a phone or tablet you have a much smaller area to work. It's nice when presets and auto-fixes clean up a photo then allow you to tweak from there. At least in my experience, the other top photo editors on iOS will give you a range of present filters and make editing much faster. Overall, this is a decent app but the interface, albeit pretty, is hard to use.

Masking/Gradient Tools Broken

HenCho

I've tried with numerous photos in either the B&W or the Curves section to apply gradient filters and the constant default color is a fuschia. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix this. It works correctly on my iPhone 6 but not on the iPad. Need to update?? *UPDATE* i figured out that you could go into the settings menu of every mask and toggle to highlight the mask area. My problem is resolved! I would like to see something similar to LR where you could choose to see the applied mask area with a 2/3 finger touch register. That would be great!! I love this for editing, this is such a powerful app it's almost too much to comprehend at once. Mastery of this is more akin to a higher education degree. But seriously KUDOS to the dev for developing an app that can literally do what LR can do minus a few features. Please keep updating!!

Broken No Good Anymore Don't Buy Till fixed

Pigion Moon

This used to be really good now its sh*t.. Theres no longer any back button there is no longer any history while editing so there is no way to work with this properly anymore plus many other things do not work anymore... What the h*ll did they do to this ?

PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION !!!

Veshek

I used to use the old version all the time which was like non other any photo editing apps out there. It was simply the best !!!!! When this new Neue version came out, I was so excited thinking it would be even better than the old version but it's so ----- complicated and don't even have some features like adding borders which I really used to use often. I don't need this app. Just bring us back the old version. Please !!! ???

Won't open Fuji RAW Files

Filmgeek47

This app is really close to being what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, it still returns an error when opening raw files from my Fuji xt-1. It's also not iPad pro optimized. The search continues...

Don't buy this

mebejessie

Honestly there are better FREE apps in the store. Don't waste your money! The first version was so much better but they stopped updating to create this garbage. It's so ridiculous I'll never understand why they would stop working on an app that everyone loved to spend time on one that everyone hates. Good job developers

Unbelievable: no undo

UI Guy

The video tutorials on the dev's website looked pretty impressive (though the lack of audio for most of them is frustrating and sloppy), so I was willing to forgive the unusual, nonstandard user interface. I managed to struggle through some pretty intense editing using cloning, curves, masking, etc. and what I ended up with was pretty good for a first attempt in a program with a steep learning curve. But then came the unforgivable: I wanted to step back through some edits I'd made. I'd already noticed there didn't seem to be any "undo" (a fairly egregious violation of the "recovery" usability heuristic), so I was excited to see a History menu in the top level menus. Pleased, I tapped on the only choice, Original. With not so much as a confirmation dialog on what was a completely destructive action, I found myself back at my original, unedited image. After several hours of work, I was more than frustrated. Sorry, Filterstorm Neue, if you don't give me a chance to recover from my destitute action, I'm not giving you a chance to recover or redeem yourself. Deleted.
