I have tried every permutation and combination of user / password, including the suggestions from developer, and NOTHING works! Avoid this app like the plague.

Not getting around much, but everything on all my computers available on my iPad, in a snap! Get it, learn it (it’s pretty easy), you’ll be glad!

Much faster than previous releases.

I wish I found this sooner

This app has made my life soooo much easier to move photos to and from my iPad and iPhone. I’m constantly getting the, Your ICloud is full or almost full. Getting files off my iPad and iPhone and then onto my NAS prior to this app I had to put them on my laptop then move to my NAS. Now I just put them directly via wirelessly and done. Really made file management easier for me as well as network files while using my iPad.

Quick to set up

Harriska2

Set up in seconds to browse files on my windows 7 machine from my ipad pro 12.9 with ios 11. Works remarkably well and has a super clean interface. Creates thumbnails for directories with hundreds of pictures within minutes then can show full pic or video immediately.

FIXED: Doesn’t work with MacOS Server Local Network Users

weekapog

With MacOS Server (High Sierra and Server App 5.4), FileBrowser is unable to access shared volumes made available via File Sharing for Local Network Users (users that cannot log into the server but have accounts setup via the Server app to access services on the server). This issue greatly reduces the usability of the app for our purposes. The interoperability issue may exist with other versions of MacOS and/or the Server app. Access to shares of Local Users (users that can log in the server, such as our IT administrator) appears to work fine. I am not sure if the issue is with FileBrowser app or with how Apple keeps adjusting/deprecating file serving features of MacOS. If anyone from Stratospherix can comment on whether this is a known issue, a known incompatibility, or if this is a bug that is being worked on, I would be most appreciative. EDIT: Thank you Stratospherix for providing support regarding Apple’s switch to SMB and requirement for domain/workgroup. After updating file share credentials, all works well. Back to five stars!

Brilliant!

I had tried a couple of similar apps and they were horrible! I gave it one last shot and tried this one not expecting much but it exceeded my expectations. I’m doing things with this app that I had no idea were possible since I have a windows pc and a iPad. I use this app in conjunction with VLCStreaming and I can stream my videos from pc to my iPad which is just amazing. I don’t feel shackled so much to cloud apps. This app should come pre installed with iPads. First time giving an app 5 stars but this one deserves it. Thank god for nerds who create this stuff!
