Hands down this app gets the most use of any of my music apps. I've been a musician for 20 years and haven't found anything to rival this elegant little app. It is perfect for sketching new song ideas and inspiration and the user interface is absolutely genius. Nothing comes close figure's ease of use. Sound quality is also very good. According to the website, propellerhead uses its successful Thor synth engine and Kong drums engine under the hood.

It should be able to keep playing when close app and include bit better beat options for rap music even though dose have some it needs more and it needs to be controlled with head phone pause and play buttons

I have used figure for a couple of years now, and it is easily my favorite music app ever. I write and produce dance and hip-hop and play the piano. However, I think some of the catchiest beats I've made have been on Figure. Being someone who tends to overthink or overcomplicate things, having simply a lead, bass, and drums, and the user-friendly interface has helped me focus more on creating intuitively. The fact that you can automate each instrument is also a huge plus. I have been really impressed with the synth presets in Figure in general. They all sound very clean, and the automation is suiting to each sound. The built-in arpeggiation is amazing and really brings each sound to life - probably my favorite feature. I was about to write something about wishing it was easier to export individual melodies or collaborate with people, but I see that Propellerhead has, with the recent update, added these capabilities. Not only was it a great app to begin with, but they listened to their users and have made significant upgrades throughout the course of the app's availability. Whether you just want to mess around or are a serious musician, you need this app in your life.

There's no 2 ways around it... I started using Figure in 2012, and it constantly upgrades. Never boring and the easiest app for making powerful, quick beats. Share them with the world via allihoopa and collaborate as well!

I'm torn between wishing it had a bit more sequencer memory so I could write whole songs and being glad that it doesn't, (which keeps the bar to writing music a hair higher. I could also wish for more sounds, more controls, etc, but really, this is a fabulous composition tool! It sounds great. It has super export options, (wish it could export directly to garage band so I could compose entirely on my iPhone/iPad, but really, the available options are entirely workable. Seriously, I love this. Best composition app evah!

Super intuitive, great sounds and options. Has the possibility to be a very interesting system. I'd love to be able to use my own drum samples. I would also really like to change the preset patterns for more personalized feel. And lastly, I would also enjoy more bpm range 40-360 and so on. I like fast music. Still lots of fun to work with. Thanks
