Become a Pain to Use!

JohnFrustrated

I have used Fantastical for many years. The latest update has replaced the wheels to set date and time with a very frustrating entry process. It is for me and my wife very error prone. We are both so frustrated with it that we may change to a different app. We are hoping Fantastical will go back to the old entry method or at least it becomes an option. Please bring back the simple “one handed operation wheels”!

Great Calendar App

Cy.Young

Love it, using mac platform it plays well with all my devices.

No longer worth it

RoggieP

Somehow I cannot log in to Fantastical from my Apple Watch. It says that I need to open the app on my phone first. For what it costs, this app no longer is worth it. Developers just seem to want to run away with our money. Rip off!!

Doesn’t work On Apple Watch

rugmankc

Long time F2 user. Don’t need F3 features. They say F2 still works on AW4. It doesn’t. After an update it won’t work. Un and Re-Installed on watch. Rebooted AW. May go to Cal366.

I want this app to work but serious integration issues

iqbalm0629

I happily paid for the subscription since I am a heavy zoom user. However, the app constantly breaks the zoom integration and invites to go with no zoom links while the link does exist in zoom. This has caused a lot of issues with key meetings. In addition, I have had events get overwritten or deleted from my calendar across devices. I really like the concept behind their rebuild and hope that they are able to fix this. However, if they are going to charge a premium price for a product, I would expect a premium experience.

I won’t pay a subscription

Dog gonna it

I love and have used this program for many years. I will not ever pay a subscription fee for a calendar app. Unfortunately for me the dollar cost per month doesn’t equal the value. I would gladly pay a fair one time fee. The rating for this app went from 3.9 to a 2.7. I guess either they do not care what people say or their business is so good they don’t care if they lose half their customer base. They need to read the 100’s of reviews of their previous customer’s dissatisfaction with this product now. These were customers they already had.

Don’t like V3 look and Todoist is buggy

Sboat

Update: Todoist integration is very buggy. Can’t create recurring todo with natural language and there is no setting to do so. Also with “show completed” selected, they don’t show, at least intermittently. ———- I need the premium functions and really miss the clean look of V2. The top section is way bigger than before. The Calendar Set row isn’t needed and the year font is huge. I wish there were settings to get the old, clean look back. I also miss the quick swipe down to change the day ticker view. I also keep opening the calendar set and options list by mistake when going back to the today agenda. Otherwise, it seems to work like before, it just doesn’t look as good.

Terrible design decisions

Silentknight31

The developers have implemented the terrible design decision of updating an existing paid app to display various buttons and menus throughout the app that do nothing but prompt the user to pay 5$ a month to use them. This is a terrible idea as the users have already paid for the app and the developers should not have buttons laid out through the app like land mines waiting to nag the user to buy the subscription every time they’re accidentally pressed and even worse it is annoying to see them all the time as they don’t do anything for non subscribing users. Not having useless buttons clutter an app is something any reputable app development course will teach their students and it’s a real shame these developers do not seem to know better or worse ignored their training in hopes of driving additional subscriptions in a paid app!

Adios

Whyamihere

It’s a sad day. But time to move on. Not going to pay monthly for “features” that are a complete gimmick for a calendar app just so they can pretend to justify a subscription. It’s a calendar app. Version 2 did it’s job perfectly well and I paid for that functionality. Now v.3 wants to remove some of that functionality/convenience and harass me with notifications to go premium. That is a downgrade, not an upgrade. May your hubris be your downfall. Next!

Overall good

Sometimes there are issues but they’re usually resolved quickly.
