Great when it works- connects 15% of the time

DrPak

Love the concept. Wall remote works great. The app is excellent and convenient....when it connects. First week seemed ok and now only connects maybe 10-15% of the time. Keep checking for app update to no avail. Please fix. Update: now connects less than 5% of the time on both my phone and my husband’s phone. Keep getting a timeout warning and an occasional in range warning- when I am right next to the fan it still won’t connect.

Totally useless

Can not detect the fan !

It works!

Jronn65

Worked so good in my bedroom that I went back and bought another one for the living room! Both rooms work on the same app!

Didn’t Work With Harbor Breeze

Rebeccac0819

I was really hoping this would work for my Harbor Breeze fan but all it ever said was “make sure fan is in range” and I’m literally standing directly beneath it ??‍♀️

Fan

It will not acknowledge my ceiling fan at all.

Junk

Does not work at all. Can’t even get defend to connect with the app end it doesn’t come with any instructions on how to do that. I guess I’ll keep looking for another app.

Great app if installed after a GFI

cisgww

As another user noted, app can lose connection and the need to reset electrical circuit. After a few too many trips to the breaker box in the basement, I installed a GFI in the outlet box the fan fed from in the same room (kitchen). Now I just test and reset the nearby GFI. I actually use this to control my downdraft cooktop exhaust AND under-counter and under-cabinet LED light strips. WORKS GREAT.

❌❌❌???‼️❗️

Do not get this app it does not work it just says “make sure the fan is in range” when your phone is on the fan?❌?‼️

Nope...

I tried everything I could to get this app to work for my Habor Breeze fan absolutely useless and a waste of my time. (Today) I was sent an email asking if I’d like to update my review ? I don’t see any changes to this app since my first disappointing experience! I’d be happy to update my review when you deliver on your promise or at lease offer some advice on how to fix the issue? I appreciate when people work hard on theses free apps for everyone but when apps are throw up just to waste time for gathering data or to build traction for another app it’s ridiculous and then to ask to update a review that nothing has been addressed or fixed ? well here is my update! Enjoy! Update from 2 minutes ago.... they did send a message. I said contact support or the developer ?? then asked if I’d like to update my review... even though that response didn’t offer any help besides asking me to email them to ask for help.... it was a response I decided to download the app again instantly instantly closedown on me twice ?? still won’t pick up signal... I’m once again REMOVING APP ITS TRASH.... or I’m messing up a foolproof setup it is possible because I do see they have received some good reviews since I last trashed this ? probabilities of them being fake... ahhh it could just be users error ??‍♀️I’ll let you decide how you’d like to waste your time! No need to respond I’m done!

Great idea, terrible execution

I want to like this app. It's super nice to be able to control my Harbor Breeze fan even if I've misplaced the physical remote. But unfortunately, the developers desperately need to update the app so that the Bluetooth connection is more stable. Just turning on and off the fan is usually okay, though it does occasionally drop connection randomly. But heaven forbid you try to use the timer function. It seems to have about a 2-second timeout from when I first start selecting how long I want it to run to when I tap "Start". If I can't scroll down to, say, 5 hours and start it running within that roughly 2-second timeframe, it boots me and disconnects from the fan. It gives a message saying that I have to reboot the app to re-establish a connection, but in reality all I need to do is reselect the fan in the app. It's incredibly frustrating, and I invariably have to attempt this 10-15 times before I can finally get it set to the length that I want. Don't even get me started on their Android version of the app. It can't hardly even detect that there's a fan available to connect to, even when the phone is 5 feet away from it. Please figure out how to work out some serious bugs in the app, and I'll update my review accordingly. But as long as it stays on version 1.0, my review stands.
