Updated: Useful, but Just OK

(update below) Useful to have up on your iPad while you play. If you want help finding out of the way places. But the list of items, in certain places, is at least incomplete at times. In the back of the Super Duper Mart in Lexington there is a stat boosting magazine on a magazine rack that isn't listed within the app. Also, the description makes it sound as if you can check-off items as they are collected and you can not. Update: After using the app for a while its flaws stick out. So I am Lowering my review from four stars to two. There is No Search Function, For Locations nor Collectibles etc. So after leaving the initial play area (zone) it is very hard to find yourself and/or anything you may want/need. A problem many times compounded by the fact that the app map doesn't use the same location icons the game (pip-boy) map does. In fact there are only four generic icons used by the app map. In the end it shouldn't cost as much without some serious free app updates. There are better free options online. Which can be problematic to use on iOS, but are the current way to go. Just have fun. Quicksave very very often and make a new full Save every hour or two.

Can't check off visited locations

Joguinn

It'd be a much better app if you could check off locations you've already visited. Additionally, mentioning points of interest and not giving any other information isn't helpful.

Great ap, just needs one more thing

It's easy to use when I'm traveling but I think it be really awesome that when you are at a location, you can click on an item in the information about the location and change its color to "highlight" it so I can indicate to myself that I already got the item or seen that location already. That way, I don't have to backtrack and ask myself, have I seen or gotten everything I need from here? Just a thought

Wasted my money

Dossssssss

How do I get my money back? App is not worth it at all, don't download.

Passable but Far From the Best

This app is great for when you know exactly what place you want to inspect. Beyond that...it's great for randomly checking out map markers; there is no search function for locations which (to me) seems like an essential feature. If there couldn't be a search feature, there could've been a simple list on a sidebar that coincides with how the guidebook map is written, with the name of the location and the coordinates, e.g. Sanctuary (1.02). Hopefully one or both of those features will be in a future update. For now, this map is a nice novelty but below average in practical usefulness.

This has proven useful for me as there havent been many good maps online for this game yet. I can see the challenge in making something really user friendly for this game because its so jam packed with locations, but i think this app does a solid job. Theres no search function (which would make it a 5 for me) but its really good to zoom into the area youre exploring to make sure you dont miss anything useful. Very well done in my opinion. Edited to add: If you are looking for an app that lets you search a specific location, this is not the app for you. There are plenty of places to get that online though. I wasnt looking for an app that gives me info i can get for free on the Fallout wikia page. This app was obviously not designed to replace what the wikia does for free. What it does do, better than anyone ive found so far, is it allows you to have a nice map that you can zoom in and out, see nearby interests, etc for a specific zone that you wish to explore (or are currently exploring). The app is getting poor reviews because it doesnt replace what the Wikia page already does. Thats unfair if you ask me. Again, if the devs added a search function, id up my rating to 5 stars, but as it is now, its still a great app.

Not as Good as Past Map Apps

Akira3234

I used Prima's Skyrim map app which I feel set a bar for me that this app did not meet. Pros: Same world map as in the paper strategy guide, with all of the same markings. The map is also broken down into individual zones, which makes loading the map faster and easier. Cons: No internal location maps, this is a big omission from a game map app. Also, no way to search for and filter specific items to find (i.e. Primary Locations only, Power Armor, Fusion Cores, Nuka-Cola Bottles, etc.) In essence, this app feels incomplete, and not worth the $3 price tag. If it contained all of the same features that the Skyrim app did, as I listed above, I would change my feeling and my rating.

Ok. But not great.

Seems glitchy. Plus it would be nice if you could mark locations as looted or cleared.

Nice map, but not helpful enough for $

Paying for this app I was hoping to show and items, bobbleheads, magazines, etc and to be able to mark them off a list as found. This only allows you to mark off points on the map as found. Free versions on web better even with their issues.

Good, Maybe Great, but not awesome

I think the app works good, although I am finding a few locations not on the map, but the Boston "city" map seems to be all jumbled up and out of order. I have to look through each id ideal map because it doesn't overlay properly. Other than that the map seems to give approximate locations of a few. Overall it's great for telling what to look for. For being pretty new it's a decent map. My only thought is to add a little more detail to the map or a few more screen shots to locations so there easier to find.
