Love love love

After finding out first hand just what fake reviews are and how pervasive the problem is I am grateful for this. And let me say, having been toyed with and blown off by three Amazon chat freaks when I complained about finding that a seller was out right lying about their product I was on a mission and found Fakespot. The Amazon customer chat reps must have thought they were play acting out some twenty something anti-establishment flick or something. ;) Anywho I’m happy for this app and look forward to it doing what Amazon won’t do.

Useless, should have zero or 'minus' stars

As other reviewers have said, the opening page comes up empty directing me to an extension, but with no way to get to the extension or to put in an item for review.

No help

I can't find any information on how to use, this no help, it opens a white page. I tried to past a link but will not let me. Sounds like a great idea, many a developer can wright an app that really works. Hope they will no keep us in the dark on how to use it!

Great app, read if you don't know how to use, step by step directions below my review.

Great app that exposes the behind the scenes that Amazon does with their reviews and ratings. For example, I was looking at a camera that was "Amazon's Choice," yet the company received an F rating, reading the reviews was like listening to a "English as a second language class" in their first week. I use it to see when they've (Amazon) LITERALLY REMOVED NEGATIVE ADS in order to make their products look better. Which is Appalling, in and of itself. TO USE: Download the Fakespot app. Download the Amazon App. From within any app, click on the "Box with the arrow," and scroll to the right on the bottom row. Click that box "More" and enable the Fakespot extension. Now, when you're in the Amazon App, find the product you want to analyze, find the word/link to "SHARE" (Usually below the description and pictures, and select "Analyze with Fakespot" box from the bottom row of the share window that popped up after you clicked it. Voila!

Absolutely ZERO Instructions; and Fakespot Score of "B"

SpaceForThePoppa

The iOS app provides absolutely zero instructions. Opening the app simply states: "History Empty - please use the Fakespot extension to analyze some reviews" Also, I ran a fakespot analysis on this app ... and it gets a "B". Which explains some of the overly enthusiastic reviews for an app that DOES NOT WORK. SHAMEFUL!!!

Works great after I figured out how to use it

How to use- Press the share button on a product or app (a button that says share or a square with an arrow pointing up) if the bottom row doesn’t have a button that says analyze with Fakespot press the more button and turn on Fakespot. It did take me a few minutes to figure out, idk why they don’t have any instructions whatsoever. I also tried to google instructions with no luck. It works great though, a small screen pops up with the analysis.

Installation Instructions

This is a great app but a lot of people gave it one star reviews because they don’t know how to use it. I just installed it and it works for me, so I’ll tell you what I did. After you download this from the App Store, go to Safari. Tap on the share sheet icon. That’s the one that looks like a square with an arrow pointing upward. Scroll to the far right on the bottom row to where it says “more”. Tap on that and then scroll down to where it says “Analyze with Fakespot”. Turn the slider to green. That installs the extension in your browser. Now, anytime you are on a web page with Amazon or Yelp reviews, you just tap that Fakespot button you will now have in your share sheet and Fakespot will open up a pop up window with it’s analysis. Tip: From there, you can touch and hold the grabber to the right of the green switch. The grabber looks like three parallel horizontal lines. When you are holding that grabber, you can move the “Analyze with Fakespot” switch closer to the top of the list so you don’t have to scroll so much to find it. I hope you found this review helpful. If so, please copy and paste this into your own review. If everybody does that, then all the new people will see the instructions and know what to do. After I did all this work, I realized that several other people had written instructions too but I didn’t see them when I looked at a few reviews before installing. Thanks.

Very cool!

Easy to use and fast! The app works when shopping on the Amazon app, or when shopping on Amazon using Safari (haven’t tried other browsers yet). I checked a case for my iPhone, and an inexpensive pair of noise-cancelling headphones with it on the iPad. The process is slow, more so for a product with lots of reviews, but provides lots of information about the reviews, and the reviewers. It’s definitely worth a spin. Oh..... install the app, go to a product page on Amazon, click on “share”, and then on “analyze with FakeSpot”

Did not work on my phone

Downloaded this app and the instructions on the screen said to use the Fakespot extension... Pressing on screen doesn’t do anything so I deleted this useless app...

Tried it, deleted it

Couldn't figure it out, tried to add Safari extension, says it wasn't compatible. WTH. No Instructions on Google either, very strange.
