With so many online shopping options, product reviews can be a valuable indication of which companies to trust with your money. User reviews should be an informative tool for providing honest feedback from other buyers - but what about when the reviews themselves cannot be trusted? Recent reports of companies tampering with reviews have led to consumer doubt about their validity, and for good reason. In the last year Amazon filed lawsuits against a number of companies that offered to pay for positive reviews, while stories continually come to light of schemes which offer free or discounted products in return for reviews.

I don’t like wasting money! In addition to really reading the high and low buyer reviews on Amazon I rarely by without using FakeSpot. And I always scroll down looking to see if FakeSpot needs updating for the particular item of interest. Most often their review is outdated. I don’t buy until I update. Only once or twice have I ever believed FakeSpot let me down. Generally FakeSpot has helped me save hundreds of dollars on crap goods sold by companies who buy favorable reviews or have their employees write them.

This app is beyond great! Quickly analyzes reviews for deceit, creates word clouds for reviews, and more. The people mystified by how to use this app need to go back and review the brief tutorial. It's intuitive and fast. And the trustworthiness of my review is A+! Well done, developers!

Works perfectly... indispensable.. to help those who can not figure out instruction it gives in the info icon, get help from someone you know more comfortable with finding and following instructions, in reading the step by step that you have to go to, in the share on the browser you are looking at and prompt it there then it will show in the share where you can activate it on the page in more and finally when on the browser and product you are looking at on the page you can analyze bringing it up in share ... and the app will also work after this .. hope this helps.

This app is supposed to analyze fake reviews but it doesn't work at all so it's own reviews are obviously fake. The majority of apps in iOS are crap. Amazon products and reviews are all crap too. So much for technology. It's nothing more than the means to deceive people.

Why do you have to click Reanalyze to get accurate calculation. Some accurate and highly rated co initially comes up with low rating unless you update. Similarly, some low rated cos initially come up with good rating. Can be confusing.

I use this every time I shop on Amazon now. Once you've got it set up (which is easy), you just tap the Share button on the Amazon app and you see an option to analyze with Fakespot. It takes like 3 seconds and saves me from having to read a bunch of reviews and try to figure out if they're real or not. One really minor suggestion for the developer—it would be great if you could see the product grade without having to scroll down. I don't need all the info at the top of the page. I just want to see the grade and move on.
