Audio works great, but that's it

The streaming rate is, to say the least, bad. It feels like there's only one frame per second, sometimes - you cannot stream a video and expect to be able to watch it on your TV, though it will appear fine on your phone. The process of setting up the device was somewhat convoluted as well - the QR code scanner just doesn't open the camera sometimes, and there's no zoom on it when it does correctly function, so you have to get real close to your TV to read the QR code; the app tries to have a working browser, that you can both stream on and access your dongle on, but it doesn't function that well, even on wifi; connecting the dongle, in general, to my wifi concerns me, as it's both far less secure than any of my other devices and has its own network on which the number of connections either cannot be viewed or were not able to be found by me. Inside the app itself, there's also a distinct lack of content - the "discover" tab, at least on my device, is just a blank white page with two buttons on the top. I'm not quite sure what that was supposed to be, but it doesn't seem to work right. The "more" tab doesn't really have a whole lot outside of legal terms and a link to the set-up page. Perhaps you guys could add more information about your company and mission or good places to stream or allow for a profile feature where one can add favorite sites or something. EDIT: Guys, I did connect it to my Internet. It still didn’t work very well, though it was a bit smoother than running purely on my hotspot.

I gave this one star because I can’t give zero. The instructions refer to a settings button that doesn’t exist. So you can connect to the MiraScreen WiFi to display on a TV, but then you can’t connect the iPhone to WiFi to access content. This is junk.

This stopped working when the iOS 14 update came out. Within a week, the developer contacted me, the firmware was updated, and all is good.

Unable to use my wifi and will only let me use my personal hotspot. Settings does not pop up to ask to connect to wifi

Doesn’t work with Disney plus, prime video and or games on your phone. If you do get it to work it lags like crazy then eventually fails. Those of you wanting to know if there is a settings button, there is but only found it after first download the app connected it to the app with the password and SSID. Then I redownloaded On another phone and it finally came up. All that effort and it doesn’t work. Will be returning device.

What’s working: - Casting video when playing in iOS browsers - Youtube - DNLA (emby, plex, etc) What’s not working: - Netflix: no option to cast to AirPlay or DNLA - Amazon Prime Video: has option to cast to airplay but stuck on buffering - Playing games or watching video thru screen mirroring: only works in dream Troubleshooting: - Only audio casted: choose AirPlay/Streaming instead of “auto” in some whatever I cannot remember options - that’s broken auto, should default to AirPlay and Streaming. - No audio: this is a really screwed up issue, developer should have locked the volume or provide interface to change volume in app - later I figured I can change volume in emby app, that’s not so fun Note to developer: Using embedded browser in app is really shabby. Make your device respond json or xml or whatever to your app and render it properly, not hard okay? Provide volume adjustment in app. Auto mode doesn’t work for streaming YouTube video, at least on some devices. Please consider default to streaming. Let the user know what’s working what’s not upfront. Your device is particularly helpful for NAS users who stream from their devices (e.g. synology) using DNLA. However many NA users expect your device to work with Netflix and Prime Video which makes them really frustrated and disappointed. Let them know upfront won’t hurt, this device is not for them - it saves the money and effort to return the device.
Doesn’t work with popular streaming services

Disney, Netflix, Amazon and the big streamers are all incompatible with this device. DO NOT BUY if you’re getting this to stream those services on a older TV. Also the setup is terrible. Wasted money.
