I played Evony when it first came out on PC. Nice to see it in an app. To bad it took so long. Good graphics. I just started today. So, I am under protection. Ask me again after and I may have a different outlook, but it is good thus far. ...Still a good game. It would be nice to close the gate like you could in the pic to save some troops. Third review. It’s all about the money. You pay you win. Big killer of time if you are looking for one. Plenty of glitches and patches. Don’t think of contacting customer service. Haha Customer service. You think you reached a point you can compete with the money spenders and they create new levels. One good thing about the game would be the community of players. Most are good folks and of course some idiots to. ....2019 May, New update is terrible. Items will not open. (non-event items) Customer service is a joke. Kinda like the DMV in the old movie beetle juice but they never call your name. 3 or 4 days and no reply from Customer Service. Don’t waste your time.

Customer support for the game is an absolute joke. The game is really neat but it glitches and when it does if you lose anything then you are screwed. “Due to high work loads we will contact you with 1 business day” turns into either never replying, or “Try restarting/refreshing the game” and unfortunately that does NOT fix the vast majority of the problems. 10/10 I HIGHLY recommend you don’t spend your money on the game because you’ll lose your investment with no compensation.

(Updated review 5/019) read the responses from customer service posted in response to reviews. Those type of responses are what you get from assistance with little or no response. Don’t invest real money or time playing this game. Terrible platform. (Review prior to 5/2019) Evony supports real life stalkers from game. Evony is doing nothing about players stalking other players in real life. Complaints have been made on several occasions by different cyber stalking events and evony refuses to ban those accounts when proof is provided. Players are hunting players real life identities and families and stalking them outside of game. They contact families.. jobs .. and make no secret in this game of their activities outside of game. This game should be banned as evony developers and customer service is no where near following their TOS.

I enjoy it very much, yes I do get frustrated when I’m attacked but it’s because I was not paid attention to what I should’ve been doing and keeping a truce on my city. So I build my troops back up and repair my city that’s just the nature of the game LOL


Customer support went from decent to non-existent

The new platform with Zen desk for customer support is disturbingly lacking in “customer support”. Tickets are disappearing, response times are longer and when there finally is a response it’s the players problem. I’ve been playing for almost 2 years now and aside from a few tweaks with updates and such this is by far the weakest link.

Game has serious management issues

The quality of the app is going down hill very fast. There are constant issues with the app lagging. Evony will never take responsibility for the lag. You will get a response thst says....our developers have checked and evony was operating fine at that moment...they will then go on to blame your internet connection. Speaking of developers. They tested the latest update on test servers to detect and fix glitches....well thst is not right. To detect glitches. The last update caused some alliance cities to self destruct in the test server..and two weeks later in the main servers..they launched an update even though they had not fixed code problems. Then when people complain customer disservice obfuscated the issue and ultimately did not repay people for their losses One Star because rating system will not allow me to give zero


Customer service and double billing

So far for three years I’ve played game has been fun with some glitches and customer service issues but the double billing is horrible issue and they claim it’s not there fault. I just want refund for the purchase s I got double billed on Without all the hassle every time I make a 4.99 package purchase I get charged twice and received one package if I’m going to get double billed at least make it worth my while

I’ve played the game for 2 years now. I have spent heavily. I have no complaints about that. That’s my choice. I enjoy the gameplay immensely. I love my alliance mates and have a wonderful time interacting with them. The game has more than a few bugs.... and fixes need to be made rather than patches put on. Having said that... My complaint is with the lack of customer service. It is a constant fight to get anything returned once it goes *poof* into la la land. Here are three examples of issues I’ve had, even though there are many more; 1.) During one SvS, I was on the enemy server. I had sent reinforcements to an alliance mates keep. My troops were recalled and he had ported to our home server. I hadn’t moved yet and was rallied. I tried to port away only to be told I must first recall the troops from the keep that wasn’t even on the same server any longer. I was zeroed. I spent countless amounts of resources healing as well as over 300k in gems to buy source of life to revive my dead. Customer Service response, several months later; We checked, you’re correct. You should have been able to port. Here are 50 source of life as compensation. 2.) I was upgrading my keep to level 31, I believe. I had to open food boxes to complete the amount needed. I opened over 200 500k boxes of food and it didn’t go into my food supply. It was just gone. I had to open boxes again to start the build and it went into my store and I was able to start my build. I reported this to customer service. Their response; not only did I not open the boxes twice, they showed no record of me ever opening any food boxes at all. None. Well, I can’t hold that much food without it being eaten. I pointed this out to them repeatedly only to have them tell me the developers checked and I never opened any food boxes. Not any at all. After 3 months of reopening tickets, they finally gave me 50 mil of each resource in repayment. 3.) This one is currently on going. As I said above, I’ve coined in this game, somewhat heavily. A couple of months ago, I tried to go on a rally. I noticed my presets (normally the max of 5) were gone. I had 1 preset slot open. Upon investigating, I saw my VIP time was zero. My husband also plays Evony. We both spend the same. If I buy a pack, he buys a pack and vice versa. I had him check his VIP time. He still had over 300 days available. I had some VIP time in inventory, I opened it and got my march presets (and everything else) back, but it was only about 50 days worth. I opened a ticket with support and guess what? The developers checked and it is correct! I informed them it’s not correct and why. Again. They said it is and closed my ticket. I reopened it and the new “zendesk” debacle happened and closed my ticket again. I reopened it for the third time today only to be told again, the developers checked and they are correct and in wrong. But, they did check my inventory and I have VIP time there. Just use that. The VIP time I have in my inventory is what I have accumulated since I used all I had over a month ago. It’s certainly not the “missing VIP time” I apparently misplaced somewhere. This latest “event” with customer service has been going on since early May and I see no resolution in sight. I am sick to death of having to fight them for everything when evidence has been provided showing I’m correct. I’m convinced they check nothing and hope the issue will go away. I am certainly not alone in this, the reviews I’ve read prove that. It’s apparent the developers don’t care. They pocket their money and laugh. Is it really that hard to do the right thing when people are spending their money and time? This game has the potential of being the best out there. If only customer service would actually care about their customers. Thank you for your time.
