REVIEWS

"EVAC is a brilliant update of the Pac-Man formula, with a more laid-back pace and considered style."
- PocketGamer - Silver Award

"EVAC is nothing short of a mobile masterpiece, but then we’ve come to expect this from Hexage. We await the company’s next release with heady expectation, but in the meantime EVAC will keep us glued to our phones for quite a while."
- KnowYourMobile.com

"Rarely do games accommodate so many different styles of gameplay while maintaining a perfect balance, but EVAC pulls it off. The game’s 24 challenging levels and excellent replay value offer great value for your buck. Fans of Pac-Man or arcade games in general, consider EVAC a no-brainer. Buy it."

Controls need work
MadAsgardian

Fun and pretty, but needs a better control scheme. There's a central control point, which can be rearranged by the player, and you move based on where you touch the screen in relation to that point. Sounds like a good idea, but not working well for me... joystick and swipe options would be welcome additions.

Fun Game !

If you like Pacman and Puzzles you will like this game. Like other Hexage games this one has well done graphics and sound.

No, it's not Pac-Man
Chronologist

I know it LOOKS like a neon Pac-Man, but the chase and maze concept is as far as the similarities go. Like Hexage's Radiant, EVAC is an excellent game that takes some inspiration from a retro game but transforms it into something much more.

So much fun!

I love this game! It reminds me a lot of Turtles on the Panasonic Odyssey 2 system a long time ago. Instant stress to get the points and get out! The graphics are great too! Excellent job!

Pac-Man revisited with puzzles and a storyline!
Lord Gek

This is a very cool take on Pac-Man like gameplay with Sokoban puzzle bits and multiple types of power pills! I think my favorite aspect, however, is the scoring. I love the concept of building up my multiplier with a continuous feed of pellets. If you travel more than a few seconds without a pellet your multiplier will start to diminish and if you are bumped by a baddy you not only lose a life but your multiplier is set back to 1.0 (major sucksville)! I also love how each level's score individually as well as the total so I can replay favorite levels again and again (actually with that being said I far prefer the replayable levels like 3 that don't feel so "solve the scripted puzzle" and hope these scripted ones will mainly only be the training levels introducing new gameplay elements). I think the story bits are fun, but sadly, as I find myself struggling a bit with the controls already (still need to find that perfect spot for the Central Point), I invariably lose my place each time they pop up (where was I and where was I going?).

Looks nice and sounds nice

Very nice game. I love the glowing effects and the music is also very pleasant.

Pac-Man reloaded
Guy and Jackie

While this games may seem to be a Pac-Man clone, there is a lot more going on here. The puzzle aspect adds a whole new dimension to the gaming experience, and the 24 levels will keep you busy for a good while. (And who knows, maybe there will be more levels to come, if we're lucky!) The animation is very smooth, and the controls are very responsive. For a dollar, this is a terrific game! Well worth the download.

Easily my favorite game I've bought for my iPad, still replay after replay. Just a fun, beautiful, simple concept.

Could be great fun

but is hampered by unusually annoying controls. It'd be much easier with either flick controls (i.e. anywhere on screen) or a virtual joystick. As it is you have to concentrate on 4 points of precision rather than one; this makes for clumsy deaths and missed turns. Please add an optional control scheme!

Good combo
Epal & Oren

Music, story, fun, and challenges. Good ol Hexage. But does this have the Escape of Cratos levels?
